Better picture of the spot

Brown sub-adult female Chinese Mantis

In this picture the yellow spot is pale. In real life it is yellower. Can somebody get a better picture of the yellow spot and replace this picture? 24.163.64.180 (talk) 02:19, 18 April 2013 (UTC)Happy189224.163.64.180 (talk) 02:19, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Name

Chinese Mantis is its common name and the WikiProject Mantodea suggest that the species in articles are to be named by their Scientific name.

This mantis in korea?

Hello. I have been in South Korea and caught and raised mantids like Tenodera sinensis from there. I have read that they were Tenodera aridifolia but I guess that could easily not be updated and it is Tenodera sinensis. Does anybody know if the ones in South Korea are T. aridifolia or T. sinensis? They call them "King Mantids" in korean. It seems like the ones in Japan are Tenodera aridifolia ssp. aridifolia. The adult females were about 95mm long (bigger than the Tenodera sinensis around here in North Carolina) without much variation but sorry, I did not measure the males. Thank you.  :) Happy1892 (talk) 15:46, 24 February 2013 (UTC)Happy1892Happy1892 (talk) 15:46, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Japanese giant mantis

The Kamacuras article suggestes that Japanese giant mantis is another name for Tenodera sinensis. Can anyone confirm or refute that, so that we can either include the alternative name here or correct the other article? Thanks a lot! Daranios (talk) 11:05, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
