Flag of Lewis
I'm Walden69, of Catalan wikipedia. I put this Flag of Lewis because this appears in FOTW, Vexilla Mundi and other vexilological pages. Before I read this advertiment, I put this flag as suspect, not as a real flag. I don't know if this flag is or not the True Lewis Flag, so I put this flag in the article because this appears so in FOTW and Vexilla Mundi like a presumible and not official, in informative way (in the box reads presunta bandera de Lewis, discutida. In the box of Leodhas not appears any flag. I know that Hebrides flags are presumible, discutible and possibly Internet inventions, but it appears in Vexilological pages and I put them in informative way. This don't means the flag is official. I don't want enters in polemical, I only informs. 88.17.16.25 14:20, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

Amhuinnsuidhe
This has now appeared as one of the little stubs that say nothing. It's my impression that Amhuinnsuidhe is not a 'village', probably has a population of about ten, and that Amhuinnsuidhe Castle pretty much says it all. Is that fair? Ben MacDui (Talk) 08:07, 20 October 2007 (UTC) Probably, but my guess would be nearer 20. It would probably be perfectly fine to make it a section of the North Harris Estate article.MRM 09:10, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

The natural world
I see you have created a fine new article. I have an essay on an issue that relates to this that I have yet to inflict on Wikipedia here. Any comments (you can use its talk page) welcome. Cheers. Ben MacDuiTalk/Walk 10:28, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Ogre
I see you have just been through a productive phase of Ogre-ing. Please feel free to add a full assessment to new Island related articles on the talk page if its clear that the article is a stub or low/mid. I'm always happy to provide an assessment for anything that's Start or better, or controversial. Cheers. Ben MacDui 10:20, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
- They were all stubs, I think I've tagged most of them as such now, but am not 100% sure. MRM (talk) 11:37, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
- Anything completely unassessed its currently listed at Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Scottish Islands articles by quality/4. Anything marked with a class, but not an importance would be on pages 1-3, and in Category:Unassessed Scottish Islands articles. (Both are updated every few days and may not be current). European standing stones
Nice template, but why is Henge included? dougweller (talk) 10:41, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
- Stonehenge is probably the best known set of standing stones in the World, and although not all henges are stone (most aren't), it is useful to include the link. Similarly, not all dolmens are standing stones - many are barrows or doorways.
- Stonehenge isn't a henge, though. All dolmens are made of stone, henges are not made of stone even though some may have stones inside or near them. Stonehenge is a red herring here, I wish it had a different name! dougweller (talk) 13:38, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
- Wasn't me that put it there. Feel free to edit. MRM (talk) 17:03, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi, would you be so kind as to give us support!
Hello, I hope you're doing fine and I sincerely apologize for this intrusion. I've just read your profile and deduced (but I may be wrong!) that you're a Scotsman (I went to Edinburgh not that long ago and I really appreciated the people and the wonderful place! Beautiful and really nice!), so I guess that being Scottish helps you understand what are a minorized language and culture and maybe I am not bothering you and you will help us... I'm a member of a Catalan association "Amical de la Viquipèdia" which is trying to get some recognition as a Catalan Chapter but this hasn't been approved up to that moment. We would appreciate your support, visible if you stick this on your first page: Wikimedia CAT. Supporting us will be like giving equal opportunity to minorized languages and cultures in the future! Thanks again, wishing you a great summer, take care! Keep on preserving your great culture, country and language! Mar sin leibh! Capsot (talk) 08:07, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:31, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
Countesswells moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Countesswells, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. I dream of horses If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message (talk to me) (My edits) @ 17:01, 18 February 2019 (UTC)
You moved it too soon and I've lost an edit as a result MRM (talk) 17:08, 18 February 2019 (UTC)
