[1][2]Chavara Thekkumbhagom[3] or Chavara South is an Island village in Kollam District of the state of kerala,India.It is located in 10 km distance from the Kollam City.It is Covered by Ashtamudi Lake and located near the coast of Indian Ocean.It contains a famouse Devi temple and Muruga Temple along with a St joseph 's Church. There is no Muslims and Muslim Mosque in the village.It have only 2 outer connection via Dalavapuram pallikodi Bridge and Pavumba Bridge.

  • V.Sambasivan - Born in Guhanandapuram, Thekkumbhagom a performer of the art Kadhaprasangam.[4] written by himself and Othello[5] by Shakespeare.
  • Azhakathu Padmanabha Kurup, a renowned scholar in Sanskrit and Malayalam, who composed the first Malayalam epic poem Ramachandravilasam.

Dr. Senadhipan[7] is the Senior Consultant GI Onco, Bariatric and Laparoscopic Surgery at Senadhipan Institute of medical Science at Trivandrum, Kerala, India, Visiting Consultant at Sree Chitra Thirunal Institute of Medical Sciences, Trivandrum and Visiting Professor, IRCAD Taiwan. He is also the Chief Consultant in GI Surgery, Dubai,UAE.
