Hermaphrodites - Or Hermahrodites and Transwomen?
"Today, the term commonly refers to fictional (drawn) female or female-looking hermaphrodite characters." I think this should be altered to either "trans-female or female looking hermaphrodite characters." Not to put too fine a point on it, but artists (and fans) who use the term routinely draw characters in poses where the vagina is invissible, or just don't draw the vagina in poses where it really should be visible if they were hermaphrodites. Even with some allowance for 'fantastical' sexual anatomy (pseudo penises, ovipositors, tentacles with exotic end-effectors, etc) a common artistic intention seems to be to draw specifically transwomen characters, and that use should be reflected in the article. 81.99.178.210 (talk) 10:09, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
- Regardless of whether the characters drawn have a vagina or not, or any presence of hermaphroditism, futanari are not transwomen (even if they quite literally have no female genitalia). Please do not conflate fictional fetishes with real world people, as it is stifling to artists and offensive to trans people. 188.148.200.126 (talk) 18:25, 6 June 2023 (UTC)
