Kenshi (Mortal Kombat)
Kenshi is a character in the Mortal Kombat video game franchise.
About Kenshi
Kenshi is a rogue swordsman of mixed Eurasian heritage, roaming the world to seek out competition, prior to his involvement with Mortal Kombat. He is an athletic man with a blindfold and a gruff appearance, clad in a grey-red bodysuit that probably offers him a better camouflage and stealth techniques. He has mastered the art of tai chi, and also uses telekinetic abilities in fight his enemies. He has a bitter hatred for the sorcerer Shang Tsung.
Storyline
Kenshi's involvement with Mortal Kombat began when he was betrayed and blinded by Shang Tsung, who stole the souls of his ancestors. These were contained in a blade in the tomb of Pekara, the family crypt of Kenshi. Kenshi himself retained the blade, and ever since it has been guiding him to take vengeance on Shang Tsung. For this very reason, he later joined the US Special Forces.
His chance at enacting revenge came when Cyrax, another agent of the Special Forces, was lost in Outworld. Kenshi had the task of going after him. In his travels across Outworld, he freed the former enforcer Ermac, who taught him how to use his telekinetic abilities. However, contact with the Special Forces was soon broken, after the destruction of the Outer World Investigation Agency bunker. Having little left to do than spying on the Deadly Alliance and trying to find Cyrax, Kenshi was now free to attempt an assault on Shang Tsung. However, unbeknownst to him, the Deadly Alliance had hired the elite warrior Mavado to take care of him.
Sub-Zero found the dying Kenshi and helped him back to health. With Shang Tsung appereantly dead, Kenshi had no reason to remain in Outworld. They trekked back to the portal to Earthrealm, but were followed by Hotaru.

Misc stuff
Kenshi has been noted to look a lot like Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid. Coincidentally, when Neo is blinded in The Matrix Revolutions, and subsequently wears a blindfold, both his posture, looks and telekinetic powers are very similar to those of Kenshi.
