This is a list of Separatist movements for the country of Iran

Administrative divisions of Iran

Irans is mostly comprised of Ethnically Iranian People with the majority being Persians because of Irans diverse ethnic groups there is bound to be Separatist Movements in Iran

Khuzestan province

Khuzestan

Khuzestan is a region which is inhabited by Khuzestani Arabs living in Iran the Local advocacy groups like the Democratic Solidarity Party of Al-Ahwaz (which is a member of the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization) advocating for Khuzestan independence[1] under the name Al-Ahwaz[2] Some militant organization advocating for Khuzestani independence are National Liberation Movement of Ahwaz and the Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz among others[3][4][5]

Kurdistan

Main article: Kurdish separatism in Iran

This separatist movement advocates for the Kurds of Iran to unify with Kurds of Turkey, Iraq and Syria to form Kurdistan or to create the Commonwealth of East Kurdistan[6] Some political parties advocating for Kurdish independence from Iran is the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan which is a Part of the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization and some militant organization advocating for Kurdish independence are Kurdistan Free Life Party and the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan

Iranian Azerbaijan

Main article: Whole Azerbaijan

This Movement advocates for the Independence of Azerbaijani majority territories of Iran the separatists proposed either a independent South Azerbaijan or unification with Azerbaijan[7][8][9] Some of the Political parties and militant organization advocating for Azerbaijani separatism are the Southern Azerbaijan National Awakening Movement and the Azerbaijan National Resistance Organization

Sistan and Baluchestan

Separatism in Sistan and Baluchestan mainly advocate for creation of a ethnically Baloch country called Balochistan comprising of Balochistan province of Pakistan and ethnically Baloch territories of Afghanistan[10][11] a militant organization advocating for Baloch independence is Jaish ul-Adl
