The history of the fort seems to be the history of JAT comunity......there is no evidance that chauman belongs to any jat clan ..... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 42.109.160.92 (talk) 03:46, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
Disputed dates
I can't find much beyond tourist books, and UNESCO isn't infallible but it does show that the date of its foundation isn't definite.[1] Doug Weller (talk) 19:36, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
- I am coming from Sam Sailor's talk page. I have no opinion on the content but the link you mentioned above isn't from UNESCO. It's a Government website which is about the Hill Forts of Rajasthan which only happens to be a World Heritage Site. Solomon7968 17:22, 13 October 2015 (UTC)
Trinetra Ganesh Temple
One of the main attraction of the Ranthambore Fort is the Trinetra Ganesh Temple situated inside it. The temple is frequented by hundreds of devotees everyday. The idol of Lord Ganesha is self-appeared here. It is also only one of kind of Lord Ganesha's temple where the Lord is three-eyed (Trinetra). Lord Ganesha sits here with Riddhi, Siddhi (wives) and Shubh & Labh (sons).
The temple has huge followings and lacs of hindus undertake pilgrimage to this site every year. An annual fair is held on Ganesh Chaturthi, celebrated as Lord Ganesha's birthday, on Shukla Paksha (Bright Lunar Fortnight) Chaturthi (Fourth day) in hindu calendar month of Bhado month which usually falls in September. The fair is celebrated over 2-3 days' period and about 4-5 lac devotees visit the temple during the fair days. 103.157.220.111 (talk) 14:17, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
