National varieties of English

Information icon Hello. In a recent edit to the page Trapeze Software, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. And many of your spelling changes directly contradicted the cites sources. Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot (talk) 08:24, 6 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am kindly requesting a name change for their Wikipedia profile. We found out that our previous username, INNsight was flagged as possibly promotional, which led to its block. However, it's important to note that the user has no intention of using the new username for promotional purposes or to advertise anything. The proposed username, "PeterZamora" truly represents our intention of sharing knowledge. By adopting this name, our main goal is to contribute to Wikipedia by offering valuable insights and comprehensive information to fellow users. Our new username perfectly aligns with their desire to assist others in finding the information they seek, ultimately improving their understanding and nurturing a positive community environment. This name change request emphasizes our dedication to providing high-quality contributions while distancing ourselves from any promotional activities. INNsight (talk) 06:02, 3 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

I am kindly seeking a name change for my Wikipedia profile. Upon discovering that my previous username, INNsight, was flagged as potentially promotional and subsequently blocked, I want to clarify that promoting anything was never my intention. I assure you that the new username, "PeterZamora," is not meant for promotional purposes or advertising. The proposed username, "PeterZamora," truly reflects my genuine desire to share knowledge. By adopting this name, my primary objective is to contribute to Wikipedia by providing valuable insights and comprehensive information to fellow users. The new username aligns perfectly with my goal of assisting others in finding the information they are seeking, thereby enhancing their understanding and fostering a positive community atmosphere. Through this name change request, I want to emphasize my unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality contributions while distancing myself from any form of promotional activities.

Decline reason:

The multiple individuals below raise significant concerns (and it does indeed read very strangely), but I'm declining directly because the absence of actually addressing any of these issues means it's not merely a clarification that we need. It's a substantially better appeal and knowledge that you genuinely understand the issues in play. Nosebagbear (talk) 09:19, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What about your violations of WP:COI, WP:PROMO, and WP:UPE? --Yamla (talk) 11:52, 3 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I took the help of AI for writing the request, but I did not use it to write the entire request. INNsight (talk) 06:02, 13 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
