Kabuli Pulao (Template:Lang-ur) is 2023 Pakistani television series. It features Mohammed Ehteshamuddin and Sabeena Farooq.The series first episode was aired on 11 July 2023 on Green Entertainment.[1] It is the romantic tale of two individuals who are different by age and culture.[2][3]
Plot
Kabuli Pulao follows the story of Haji Mushtaq, an upright man from Lahore, and Barbeena, an Afghan girl in need. Haji Mushtaq, a 40-year-old muslim punjabi bachelor, leads a simple and straightforward life until he meets Barbeena. He goes to Mardan for a religious tour where he meets her during his stay in a masjid, when her brother asks him to protect her by marrying her, as she is a widow and the brother of her deceased husband wants to marry her forcefully. Despite all ways to help her normally, Haji Mushtaq’s has to marry Barbeena meanwhile his beloved childhood lover and fiancee Shamim has sacrificed all for him and is awaiting to marry him. As he spends more time with Barbeena, he starts to see the world from a different perspective but these character's lives takes turn as Barbeena's husband and love Baran Afghan arrives who was presumed to be dead but in reality he is not . The show explores various themes such as love, sacrifice, cultural differences, and the power of human connection. It also sheds light on the challenges that people from different cultures face when they try to build relationships and understand each other.[5]

Broadcast
On June 29 2023, it was revealed by the channel's social media handles that the show will premier on July 11 2023 airing episodes weekly on Tuesday at 20:00 PST.[7]
Soundtrack
The original soundtrack ‘Aankhein’ was released in May 2023.[8] It was performed by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, music was composed by Sahir Ali Bagga and lyrics were penned by Imran Raza.[9] The OST gained 100 million views on digital platforms of the network within 2 weeks.[10]
