South Korean boy band BTS debuted on the music scene in June 2013. They have since released or featured in 72 music videos, and released 49 video albums. Known for their high quality music videos—and accompanying choreography therein—the band have achieved multiple world records with several of these, additionally winning various domestic and international awards for them. They have also appeared in commercials for brands such as Puma, Fila, and Samsung, among others.

BTS promoted the release of their debut single album 2 Cool 4 Skool (2013) with two music videos, for the singles "No More Dream" and "We Are Bulletproof Pt.2". This was followed by the release of their debut extended play (EP) O!RUL8,2? in September, which yielded the single "N.O" and an accompanying music video. In 2014, the music video for the band's single "Danger" garnered significant attention for its strong choreography; in particular, the neck-grab and shoulder move.[1] The subsequent remix of the single's Japanese version, with Vietnamese pianist Thanh Bui, marked the first time another artist appeared in a BTS music video. In 2015, the band began their BTS Universe storyline with the release of the "I Need U" music video.

In Japan, BTS is the best-selling foreign artist of all-time for video releases, with eight of their concert recordings achieving number-one on Oricon's overall DVD and Blu-ray sales chart, as of October 2022.[2] These recordings have all received gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) for selling over 100,000 copies each. The band's first video release to be certified was the 2019 BTS World Tour: Love Yourself ~Japan Edition~ DVD, which also became their first to attain platinum certification, in July 2022, for surpassing 250,000 sales.[3]

Title Year Other performer(s) credited Director(s) Description Ref.
"'ON' Kinetic Manifesto Film : Come Prima" 2020 None Yongseok Choi
"On"
"Who" (Official visualiser) Lauv While BTS is credited, only Jimin and Jungkook provide featured vocals. Neither band member appears in the video, but their vocals are still heard. The video shows Lauv dressed in a purple shirt, singing the song while seated at a desk. He lowers his head to the desk and stops singing as Jungkook and Jimin's verse begins then rejoins on the ending choruses. As the song wins down, he gets up and walks away. [50]
"Black Swan" None Yongseok Choi and Guzza Filmed in the Los Angeles Theatre. The video opens with BTS dressed in white attire, standing in front of a dark stage in a theatre. Following these scenes, the members can be seen singing their verses under an ornate vaulted ceiling and gilded fixtures. A collection of close-ups of the group members interacting with their shadows alternates with group shots of them performing choreography on an empty stage.
"We are Bulletproof: the Eternal" Wonmo Seong Special release for BTS Festa 2020. The video is fully animated, and features miniature cartoon versions of BTS, known as TinyTan. They appear to a girl—a fan—who has had a hard day, to cheer her up. The video contains various imagery associated with the band, such as a whale and their lightstick. The colour purple is also prominent throughout.
"Stay Gold" Ko Yoo Jeong The video alternates between the band members being stuck or lost in various dark, dilapidated places, trying to find their way out, and them spending time together in lighter settings, playing games, reading etc. They are guided out of the darkness by following rays of light and eventually reunite with each other in a paradise-like setting. [51]

"Permission to Dance" Yongseok Choi and Woogie Kim Set during and post the COVID-19 pandemic, the video shows BTS singing and dancing in a variety of locations, including the desert and a laundromat, while dressed in cowboy-themed clothing. Interspersed are clips of couples, children, and various working individuals, all wearing masks. They eventually remove their masks, indicating the end of the pandemic, and dance along to the song. [53]
"Butter" (Official visualizer) Megan Thee Stallion Neither BTS nor Megan Thee Stallion appear in the video, but their vocals are still heard. The video contains a shortened version of the song and shows a yellow, heart-shaped slab of butter set against a swirl-patterned background that changes color as the song progresses. "My Universe" Coldplay Dave Meyers The music video depicts Coldplay, BTS and a fictional alien band named Supernova 7 performing the song together on different planets. The groups are then united as holograms through alien DJ Lafrique, who broadcasts the performance with her radio ship. "Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)" Special MV @ BTS Island: In The Seom An animated music video set to the audio of "Yet to Come", it features the band's avatars, from their 2022 mobile game BTS Island: In the Seom, dressed in outfits from the original music video, travelling through a desert landscape until they come across a tiny glass bottle with an island inside. A giant, magical purple whale then surfaces from the desert floor and takes them up into the clouds, to a paradise-like island resembling the one in the bottle. "Bad Decisions" Benny Blanco and Snoop Dogg Ben Sinclair Blanco plays a BTS superfan preparing to attend a concert. He is seen making a poster, preparing a cake, and practicing the band's dance moves. While driving to the venue, the cake smashes into his car windshield. Blanco abandons the vehicle in the street and runs the rest of the way to the stadium, only to find it empty when he arrives. A janitor informs him he is a day early for the show and locks him out of the venue. [55]
