Jacob Elordi (born 26 June 1997) is an Australian actor.[1] He gained prominence through his roles as Noah Flynn in The Kissing Booth film trilogy (2018–2021) on Netflix, and Nate Jacobs in the HBO series Euphoria (2019–).
Early life
Elordi was born on 26 June 1997[2] in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, to John and Melissa Elordi. His father emigrated from the Basque Country in Spain at the age of eight.[3][4] He has three older sisters.[5] He attended the Catholic secondary schools of St. Kevin's College, Melbourne and of St Joseph's College, Nudgee in Brisbane.[5]
Career
Elordi's first experience on a Hollywood film set was in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales as an extra. His first acting role was on the Australian film Swinging Safari[6] in 2018, playing the role of Rooster. Elordi came to fame starring as Noah Flynn in the Netflix romantic comedy film The Kissing Booth, which premiered in May 2018.[7] He reprised the role in the sequel The Kissing Booth 2,[7] which filmed in mid-2019 in Cape Town, South Africa, and was released in July 2020.[8] He also starred in the third film in the series, The Kissing Booth 3, which was released on Netflix on 11 August 2021.
In 2019, Elordi began starring as Nate Jacobs in the HBO drama series Euphoria.[9] He also appeared in the horror anthology film The Mortuary Collection.[10] In 2022, Elordi appeared in Adrian Lyne's erotic thriller Deep Water.[11] The following year, he starred in Sean Price Williams' drama film The Sweet East, which premiered at the 76th Cannes Film Festival in May 2023 to critical acclaim.[12]
Elordi is set to star in Emerald Fennell's upcoming thriller Saltburn.[13] He is also set to portray Elvis Presley in the upcoming Priscilla Presley biopic Priscilla.[14]
