Proposed change
Hi, full disclosure: I am an employee of ACWA Power working in the Marketing and Communications team. I would like to make some changes to the article in good faith, in order to make sure the information is accurate and up-to-date. Please review my changes below -- all the information has been sourced to independent third parties, apart from one line on employee numbers which comes from a document from ACWA Power posted on the Saudi Exchange website. All feedback on my proposed edits is very welcome. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MferrariACWA (talk • contribs) 07:11, 16 August 2023 (UTC)

- @MferrariACWA: I'd like to help, but don't see any sources for the updated information you're requesting to have added. There's a list of sources, but they appear to be from the older content. Can you add proper inline citations for the new information? STEMinfo (talk) 00:56, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
- @STEMinfo: Thank you. It seems I can't add inline citations to this template so I have added them below each section. Please let me know if this helps. MferrariACWA (talk) 13:27, 17 August 2023 (UTC)

Your edit request could not be reviewed because the request is not formatted correctly.
- The citation style predominantly used by the ACWA Power article appears to be Citation Style 1. The citation style used in the edit request consists of bare URL's.[a] Any requested edit of yours which may be implemented will need to resemble the current style already in use in the article – in this case, CS1. (See WP:CITEVAR.)
- Citation ref tags have not been placed within the requested text indicating which portions of the text the source is referencing. (See WP:INTEGRITY.)
In the collapsed section below titled Request edit examples, I have illustrated two: The first shows how the edit request was submitted; the second shows how requests should be submitted in the future.
Request edit examples

---|
In the example above there are three URL's provided with the claim statements, but these URL's have not been placed using Citation Style 1, which is the style predominantly used by the ACWA Power article. Additionally, ref tags have not been placed within the text at the exact positions where the information they reference resides. Using the correct style and the correct positioning of the ref tags, the WikiFormatted text should resemble the following:
In the example above the references have been formatted according to Citation Style 1, which shows the author, the source's name, date, etc. Also, the ref tags are placed in the exact location where the text which they reference resides. As Wikipedia is a volunteer project, edit requests such yours are generally expected to have this formatting done before the request is submitted for review. |
Kindly write your edit request so that it aligns more with the second example shown in the collapsed section above, and feel free to submit that edit request below this reply post at your earliest convenience. If you have any questions about this formatting please don't hesitate to ask myself or another editor. Regards, Spintendo 17:59, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for your input @Spintendo. The ref tags are not showing up when using TextDiff:
− Test+ Test - Is there a better way to format the edit request to make it clear which sections need to be replaced? MferrariACWA (talk) 08:30, 20 August 2023 (UTC)
Notes
- ^ The use of bare URLs as references is a style which is acceptable for use in Wikipedia. However, general practice dictates that the style already in use for an article be the one that is subsequently used for all future additions unless changed by editorial consensus.
