Mia Ristić (born 17 May 2006)[1] is a Serbian tennis player. A right-handed player, she has a career-high ranking of 399, achieved in January 2023.[2][3]

Career

From Bor, Serbia,[4] Ristic won the European Championship under-16 competition in Prerov, Czech Republic in July 2022, without dropping a set. In the final, she defeated Spaniard Marta Soriano Santiago, for the loss of only two games. A scoreline which she achieved four times during the competition.[5]

Ristic won her first professional tournament aged 16 years-old in August 2022, defeating Cristina Dinu in the final of the $25k event in Vrnjačka Banja, Serbia.[6]

Ristic qualified for her WTA Tour main-draw debut at the 2023 Palermo Ladies Open. She defeated Çağla Büyükakçay and Kathinka von Deichmann to qualify. Both matches she won in three sets despite facing match points against. The win against Büyükakçay took four hours and 12 minutes, and was the longest match in the tournament history.[7]
