History
Launch as Boomerang
On 13 April 2016, Turner Broadcasting System Europe announced the launch of Boomerang in Turkey on 23 April 2016, which is Turkey's National Children's Day.[1] The HD channel was launched exclusively on the Tivibu and D-Smart operators in Turkey.[2]
Transition as Cartoonito
Originally on December 3, 2018, Cartoonito launched as an afternoon block on Cartoon Network Turkey, airing every day from 12:00 to 3:30 PM local time. However, as part of its global re-introduction, a Cartoonito block also arrived on Boomerang on September 5, 2022.
Boomerang will fully transform into a 24/7 Cartoonito channel on 4 September 2023, along with its Nordic and MENA counterpart.[3]
