Posting a map

I am one of the editors for the English class and need to post a map of SPSU, However I cannot post pictures without ten prior successful edits. Since i do not have any edits under my belt, would i just post a link to the map down at the bottom? Or could i have someone else post one for me? You can find the most recent map of SPSU at the SPSU homepage. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tfryar (talkcontribs) 20:35, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If it's available from the SPSU homepage, it does not need—and should not have—a separate link. Readers looking for the map can find it via the SPSU home page. —C.Fred (talk) 20:49, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Degrees claimed that could not have been granted?

The text says, "John Leverett, the founding and head of engineering at Panoz Auto Development graduated with a mechanical engineering degree in 1993." However, SPSU was not approved to grant degrees in Mechanical Engineering until 2009. http://www.spsu.edu/me/index.htm The overwhelming probability is that Leverett's degree is in mechanical engineering *technology.* How best to correct this error? (A day later, I edited the article page to delete the degree description in question. The claimed degree could not have been granted, but I have no way of knowing the actual degree conferred.)— Preceding unsigned comment added by Bbrownspsu (talkcontribs) 21:45, 16 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering TechnologySouthern Polytechnic State University – Somehow the name Southern Polytechnic State University was removed as the article's title, and replaced with Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology. SPSU is the correct and official name of the (now former) university and should be reverted back to such. Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology is the name of a SCHOOL within the newly consolidated university called Kennesaw State University. SPSU still has historical relevance as thousands of alumni graduated from SPSU. Sirkevinalot (talk) 17:31, 30 July 2015 (UTC) Sirkevinalot (talk) 17:31, 30 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. The article does not reflect the current SPCEET. It reflects SPSU as it exists pre-merger. To that extent, this article title should be the now-defunct SPSU. That said, it is probably appropriate to but a link somewhere prominent to KSU or to the section of the article about the new/merged-in college. I don't know that a hatnote is warranted, but it may be something to consider. —C.Fred (talk) 15:21, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Merge or rename

I propose that this article either be merged with Kennesaw State University or renamed something like Kennesaw State University, Marietta campus. The reason is that Southern Polytechnic has been merged into KSU. And BTW, I don't have the time or knowledge to do it. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 03:39, 10 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose on the grounds that the article described the institution in the past tense, and is hence best kept as it is to preserve the historical content related to that former institution. Klbrain (talk) 17:26, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose per above. 16x9 (talk) 19:24, 19 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose also per above. However, I would not be opposed to adding information about the merger on this page and Kennesaw State University's page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JJonahJackalope (talkcontribs) 02:20, 4 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No merge. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 19:50, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
