It took the energetic 1968 television special, Elvis, and a subsequent series of stellar recording sessions in Memphis, Tennessee, to restore Elvis Presley's musical reputation. To his credit, though, it is open as to whether he was allowed much choice in the matter; Parker allowed both to happen with little impediment

I'm having trouble parsing this. Whose credit, and who was or was not allowed much choice - Presley or Parker? And why would it be to either one's credit? Shari 07:59, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
