Sara Sharif, a 10-year-old girl, was discovered deceased in her family's residence in Woking, Surrey, on August 10, 2023.[1][2] This incident has triggered a worldwide search for the responsible individual.[3]

Discovery of the Body

Sara's body was found in her residence on Hammond Road, Horsell, during the early hours of August 10th.[4] She had suffered numerous and severe injuries over an extended period.[5] The exact cause of her death remains undetermined, but it is highly probable that it was not a natural occurrence.[6]

Suspects and investigation

The Surrey Police are trying to get in touch with Sara's father, Urfan Sharif, his partner Beinash Batool, and his brother Faisal Malik. Interestingly, all three of them departed from the UK for Pakistan on August 9th, just a day before Sara's body was found. Urfan Sharif, along with his partner, brother, and five children, made a 999 call from Pakistan shortly after they arrived in Islamabad.[7]

International manhunt

Authorities have initiated an international search operation to locate the suspects.[8] There are reports of two police teams in Jhelum, in north Punjab, Pakistan, actively searching for Urfan Sharif. It's worth noting that there is no official extradition agreement in place between the United Kingdom and Pakistan.[9]

Public Appeal

The police have made a new request for information, this time two weeks after Sara's tragic discovery. They are reaching out to individuals both within the Woking community and beyond, urging anyone who had contact with Sara but hasn't already come forward to provide information.[10]
