Congratulations, Lee Vilenski! The article you nominated, 2022 Tour Championship, has been promoted to featured status, recognizing it as one of the best articles on Wikipedia. The nomination discussion has been archived.
This is a rare accomplishment and you should be proud. If you would like, you may nominate it to appear on the Main page as Today's featured article. Keep up the great work! Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) via FACBot (talk) 00:05, 31 August 2023 (UTC)

A question about The Usos

Hello Lee. I hope you had a very good summer. I'm back, so I'm going to make some editions. I noticed something. The Usos article was splitted. Now, The Usos, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso. Well, fair. But the problem is Jimmy and Jey articles are just a copy-paste of The Usos, the exact same content. So, do you think I can remove the section from 2009 to 2020 and substitute with a "main article: The Usos. From 2009 to 2020, The Usos worked as a tag team. They won these titles during that period"? I don't see the point of having the same article 3 times with the same content. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 09:22, 31 August 2023 (UTC)

If they are independently notable from each other, they should be able to cover their whole career without reading the main Usos article. My suggestion? try and summarise the info in small parts, and link to the main article using {{main article}}. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 07:40, 1 September 2023 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – September 2023

News and updates for administrators from the past month (August 2023).

Guideline and policy news

  • Following an RfC, TFAs will be automatically semi-protected the day before it is on the main page and through the day after.
  • A discussion at WP:VPP about revision deletion and oversight for dead names found that [s]ysops can choose to use revdel if, in their view, it's the right tool for this situation, and they need not default to oversight. But oversight could well be right where there's a particularly high risk to the person. Use your judgment.

Technical news

Arbitration

  • The SmallCat dispute case has closed. As part of the final decision, editors participating in XfD have been reminded to be careful about forming local consensus which may or may not reflect the broader community consensus. Regular closers of XfD forums were also encouraged to note when broader community discussion, or changes to policies and guidelines, would be helpful.

Miscellaneous

  • Tech tip: The "Browse history interactively" banner shown at the top of Special:Diff can be used to easily look through a history, assemble composite diffs, or find out what archive something wound up in.
