Assistant teachers

Paraeducators, or paraprofessionals, are another assistant found in American classrooms. Paraeducators can be assigned to offer additional support to a single student or they can support the classroom teacher by taking on a more general support role.Cite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page).</ref> At times, the paraeducator may co-teach with the classroom teacher or take on the responsibilities of the classroom teacher. Another support they offer all students in the classroom is by modeling positive interactions with the classroom teacher.Cite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page).</ref> Some paraeducator positions require completion of 60 college hours.

I'm not logged in at the moment, but somebody should probably drop a link to the recently created article Teaching, preferably in the lead, due to its obvious close relevance to this article. 193.37.240.169 (talk) 13:14, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. AnnaMankad (talk) 01:57, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There is a shortage of 44 millions teachers

Hello,

I think this information is useful :

"As of October 2023, according to UNESCO, there is shortage of 44 millions teachers worldwide."

Source : Faltam 44 milhões de professores no mundo, alerta Unesco – DW – 03/10/2023 E.poul (talk) 12:55, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's not going to be useful to most of us here at English Wikipedia while it's in Portuguese. HiLo48 (talk) 02:16, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@HiLo48 Wikipedia exists in several languages, and some articles are translated from one language to another. But here's a source in English (the guardian) : https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2023/oct/04/world-needs-44m-more-teachers-in-order-to-educate-every-child E.poul (talk) 09:08, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that link. It's just what was needed. HiLo48 (talk) 09:58, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
