Mira Shaib is a Lebanese filmmaker known for Arzé, which was selected in the Main Competition of the 45th Cairo International Film Festival in 2023[1][2]
Career
Mira Shaib is an alumni of prestigious film development labs and residencies, including Robert Bosch Stiftung, Film Independent's Global Media Makers LA Residency, the Red Sea Lodge, and the Torino Film Lab [3][4][5]Her first feature film was was among the first recipients of the Red Sea International Film Festival’s Production Fund.[6]
Mira is the cofounder of Cinema For All, an arts initiative with a mission to make Lebanese cinema accessible in rural Lebanon. The initiative was lunched in 2019 in Ain Ebel with film-making workshops and outdoor screenings of Sophie Boutros' Mahbas and Cyril Aris's documentary feature The Swing.[7]
