Mohamed Al-Hadi Al-Mazouri (born December 10, 1981, Tangier), also known by the stage name Muslim, is a Moroccan rapper.[1]
In 2010, he released his first album entitled Rebellion, which sought to explore the artistic community, especially in the Maghreb rap genre.[2]
Career
Born in Tangier, he began his singing career as an amateur in 1998. He founded the band “Zanqa Flow” (Zanqa Movement) in 1998 with his Arab colleague. He expresses his feelings and harsh experiences through songs and music. Muslim participated with his singing group in many public concerts and local festivals, and the evenings he performed received great youth interaction and attendance. His songs became famous and were chanted by the public, such as “Al-Gharba,” “I am a Muslim,” “Majrooh Heart,” and “Free Flyer.”
In 2014, Muslim won the title of Best Rapper in Morocco at the Morocco Music Awards 2014 rap competition, with the song “The Late One”. He was on the judging panel of one of the TV programs on the BIG UP talent discovery channel in 2014, for the first edition of that program.
in 2018, during a Moroccan boycott of products such as mineral water, a type of milk, and a fuel distribution company, Muslim declared that he was “too old to boycott milk and water, and that he is a man of difficult tasks,” which drew criticism from his followers, who considered this to contradict the content of his songs and to be condescending to his fans and critics.[3]
Personal life
He has two sons from his first wife.[4]
