Nakalat Saare Ghadle

Premachi Goshta (transl. Love Story) is an Indian Marathi-language television drama series which premiered from 4 September 2023. Produced by Shashi and Summet Mittal under the banner of Shashi Sumeet Productions, it stars Tejashri Pradhan, Raj Hanchnale, Apurva Nemlekar and Ira Parwade in lead roles as Mukta, Sagar, Savni and Sai, respectively. The show airs on Star Pravah and streams digitally on Disney+ Hotstar by replacing Rang Maza Vegla in its time slot after completing its run. It is an official remake of Hindi TV series Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.[1]

The story revolves around two protagonists: Sagar Koli "SK", a successful CEO, and his neighbor, Dr. Mukta Gokhale, a pediatric dentist who, due to a medical condition, is unable to have children. At first, Sagar and Mukta clash due to their strong egos. Sagar's troubled past has left him cynical about love and relationships, while Mukta remains optimistic. With their contrasting personalities and unwavering beliefs, finding common ground proves to be a challenge. Nevertheless, fate intervenes, and they are destined to fall in love. As Sagar's perspective undergoes a transformation through his interactions with Mukta, and as Mukta begins to see the genuine Sagar behind his tough exterior, their paths eventually converge through Sai, Sagar's daughter from his ex-wife Savni.

Plot

The series is set in Mumbai and focuses on the lives of two neighbors, Dr. Mukta Gokhale, a pediatric dentist, and Sagar Koli "SK", a CEO. Despite a rocky start and initial mutual dislike, their destinies and their shared affection for Sai, Sagar's daughter from his previous marriage, bring them closer. Mukta befriends Sai after rescuing her from an accident, but she's shocked by Sagar's harsh treatment of Sai. By chance, Mukta meets Pranav at her nephew's thread ceremony, sparking memories of their college romance, her infertility diagnosis, and Pranav canceling their wedding. When Sagar returns from Goa, he avoids meeting Sai due to a painful past with his ex-wife, Savni, who cheated on him with his former boss, Harshavardhan. Mukta agrees to an arranged marriage with Pratik at her family's insistence. Meanwhile, Mihir and Mihika try to gain approval from their families for their relationship, but both families reject it. Mukta tries to convince Sagar to support them, but he refuses. Sai gets locked inside during an award ceremony, and Mukta comes to her rescue, leading to a misunderstanding with Sagar. Mukta takes Sai to the hospital without informing Sagar's family. Sagar files a police complaint against Mukta. Madhavi and Purushottam get arrested during the engagement ceremony. Mukta breaks ties with Pratik after discovering his true colours. Sagar regrets misunderstanding Mukta after learning the truth about Sai's condition. Harshavardhan manipulates Savni to gain custody of Sai. Chaos ensues when Savni presents legal documents to take Sai. Sagar tries to gain custody of Sai, but the court rules in favor of Savni.

Development

In July 2023, Star Pravah announced the second Marathi remake of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein after Nakalat Saare Ghadle which will be produced by Shashi and Summet Mittal under the banner of Shashi Sumeet Productions.

Casting

It is because of the love and trust of the audience that I have had such a big opportunity in my hands. This character is different from the roles I have played before. Sagar does not believe in the institution of marriage, as his wife has betrayed him. He is very very good-hearted but equally patient. Most importantly, he is the father of a sweet daughter. Doing scenes with kids is a different experience because their acting is very innocent. The whole team behind the show is very nice. We are sure that our show will get the same response that the promo of the show is getting.

— Raj Hanchanale [2]

Raj Hanchanale, known for his role as Suraj in the popular series Tujhyat Jeev Rangla and as Arjun in Jivachi Hotiya Kahili, was chosen to portray the character of Sagar Koli, the male lead. Tejashri Pradhan, who had her last appearance in Aggabai Sasubai, returned to the screen after a hiatus of two and a half years to take on the role of Dr. Mukta Ghokale, the female lead. Ira Parwade was selected to play Sai.

Working with the team once again after almost 8 years. I am playing a negative role in the show. Although I am playing a villain, this role has many shades. I am trying my best while portraying the character of Savani. I have been preparing for this role for the past several months. A lot of effort is put into my look. I also lost a lot of weight for this role. Savani is very glamorous, and everything from her sarees to even her jewelry is going to be very special. This role is very different from the roles I have played so far. The audience has supported me in all my work. I am sure that my new show will also get the same support and love.

— Apurva Nemlekar [3]

Apurva Nemlekar, known for her role in Ratris Khel Chale, was chosen to portray Savni, the antagonist, while Yash Pradhan was cast as Harshvardhan Adhikari, the other negative lead.

I have a very old relationship with the team. On the occasion of my new show, Premachi Goshta, the desire to work with the team has been fulfilled. In this show, I play the character of Indra Koli. I love playing the character of a Koli woman. Koli's dresses; their lifestyle are my favorite. A special effort has been made on my dress for this show too. Indra's personality is revealed by the traditional Koli saree and jewelry. Although Indra is aggressive in her thinking, she is very sensitive in her heart. She has great love for her son and granddaughter. I don't just play the character of Indra; I live it. The team for the series is very nice. With the blessings of Ekvira Devi and with the support of viewers, I pray that this show will be a huge success.

— Sanjeevani Jadhav [4]

Sanjeevani Jadhav, renowned for her outstanding acting and her role in the critically acclaimed film 'Vastraharan,' was chosen to portray the character Indra Koli, while Shubhangi Gokhale was selected to portray Madhavi Gokhale. She discussed her collaboration with Tejashri Pradhan during the filming, stating:

In the show, I am playing the character of Mukta's mother, Madhavi Gokhale. I think every character should leave an impression on the heart of the audience so I try to make the the character that I play memorable to the audience. The character I play in this serial is disciplined. One who preserves the beauty in simplicity and respects a strong bond with the culture. Tejshree Pradhan and I have played the roles of mother and daughter in a Marathi movie. Once again, we have come together on the occasion of the show. Tejashree is a great actress. I love working with her. I admire Tejashree, who has a lot of persistence in acting and is always looking for something new.

— Shubhangi Gokhale [5]

Title Song

The title song "Premachi Goshta" is sung by Abhishek Telang and Sugandha Date, composed by Nilesh Moharir, with lyrics written by Shripad Joshi.

Release

The first promo was released on July 29, 2023, showcasing Tejashri Pradhan, Raj Hanchnale, Yogesh Kelkar, Shubhangi Gokhale, Sanjeevani Jadhav and Ira Parwade. In the teaser, Mukta and Sagar were shown being persuaded by their mother to consider marriage. In the subsequent teaser, Mukta treating Sai's toothache and a clash of egos between her and Sagar. The third teaser depicted Sagar taking Sai to school and forgetting her project. This is when Savni entered and vowed to secure custody of Sai, but their attention shifted to Mukta, who arrived with Sai's project. In the final promo, Indra emphasized that Sagar should open himself to the possibility of falling in love and marrying, even if his first love had failed. Sagar, on the other hand, asserted that love is nothing more than a myth, and his love lies in his work and ambitions. Savni tells that money and business are the most significant priorities, and love can be acquired with financial means. Madhavi expressed her acceptance of her daughter's inability to conceive, highlighting that this should not diminish the need for her to receive love. Mukta chimed in with the belief that genuine love is about wholeheartedly accepting someone for who they are. Finally, Sai states that although Sagar and Mukta often argue, she loves them both equally, raising the question of how she should convey this affection to them.

The show started airing on Star Pravah on 4 September 2023 at 8:30 P.M. (IST), replacing Rang Maza Vegla's time slot after its complete run.
