Girteka Group is a transport company based in the city of Vilnius, Lithuania, operating in Europe and Scandinavia. It was founded in 1996 by Mindaugas Raila who, at the age of 24, bought a single used truck complete with a trailer.[2][3]
Today, it is one of Europe's largest transport companies.[4] Girteka Group is delivering more than 775,000 full truck loads (FTLs) every year, with more than 9,200 fully owned trucks and 9,800 trailers that operate in Europe. Girteka hires more than 23,000 employees.[1][5]
