Change: one of the two important epics of Hinduism, the other being the Rāmāyaṇa. to: one of the two important epics of Hinduism, known as the Itihasas (history), the other being the Rāmāyaṇa.

This article is not complete without mentioning what category it falls under in Hindu text. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindu_texts https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Itihasa Askashmani (talk) 06:00, 25 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Change mentions of Bhishma as the Pandavas "grandfather" to the correct "great-uncle" as he was simply the step-brother of their actual grandfather Vyasa. [1]

This mistake can be seen in the The battle at Kurukshetra section in the Synopsis. Specifically this line "Before the battle, Arjuna, noticing that the opposing army includes his cousins and relatives, including his grandfather Bhishma". Potatonator29 (talk) 10:28, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: The change you're suggesting doesn't appear to be supported by the link you provided. In any case, as a tertiary source, an encyclopedia is not considered reliable. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 03:19, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

In the Indraprastha section "Bhima, Arjun, the twins and the servants laugh at him" should be corrected to "Bhima, Arjuna, the twins and the servants laugh at him" to keep the spelling consistent as "Arjuna" Nrims123 (talk) 22:23, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There is an error in dates under "Translations" section:

A Persian translation of Mahabharata, titled Razmnameh, was produced at Akbar's orders, by Faizi and ʽAbd al-Qadir Badayuni in the 18th century.[76]

According to cited sources the century should be 16th and not 18th. 24.14.81.72 (talk) 03:20, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The Google books preview of the book doesn't include the cited page, and I can't seem to find it online elsewhere. If you have access to the page, it would be much appreciated if you could post a picture of it somewhere (in the worst case, I can try to get a physical copy from the National Art Library, but that will have to wait until next week...). Wrong page hyperlinked for the wife of Abhimanyu in the Kuru family tree

The page hyperlinked for the wife of Abhimanyu in the Kuru family tree is of her twin brother and not her. ReservoirRed (talk) 09:31, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
