Austin High School Gang

The Austin High School Gang was a young group of white teenage boys from the suburbs of the west side of Chicago who formed a jazz band in the 1920s that rose to prominence among jazz musicians playing Chicago style[1].
The members[2] of the Austin High Gang included the following:
- Jimmy McPartland - cornet
- Dick McPartland - banjo, guitar
- Frank Teschemacher - clarinet
- Bud Freeman - tenor saxophone
- Jim Lannigan - string bass, tuba
- Dave North - piano
- Dave Tough - drums
