Peter England is an international menswear brand based in India. Founded in 1889 in Ireland, it was acquired by Kumar Mangalam Birla's Aditya Birla Fashion brand in 2000.[3] It produces suiting fabric, wool and wool-blended fabrics.
It has more than 1000 stores in India.[4]
History
The brand Peter England was formed in 1889 when the company was tasked with outfitting during the Boer War.[citation needed] It first entered the Indian market in 1997, with bespoke and ready-made shirts.[5]
It produces shirts, trousers, denims, suits and blazers, and t-shirts. There are more than 1000 stores in India.[citation needed]
