unexplained content removal
You reversed a recent change to the VCfA article. I agree with your reversal since no reason was given for the deletion, it was not replaced with a balanced description of the facts and the references were either deliberately or accidentally deleted.
The statement ‘was found to have committed war crimes in Afghanistan’ is a highly skewed interpretation. Elsewhere I suggested that the court decision would ruin his reputation and you can allege, he is a war criminal, but you should mention he has not been charged, tried or convicted of war crimes.
I did not use the VCfA Talk page since the last comment on that page, more than two years ago has not been questioned or answered. My answer would have been all five VCfA awards were officially announced, presented and gazetted on the same day. Anthony Staunton (talk) 22:59, 20 October 2023 (UTC)

Shirley McKerrow
Hi, I am a friend of Shirley McKerrow. I made the edit on Wiki because Shirley passed away in Darwin NT, Australia, last week after an illness. I was fortunate to see her and take her out for dinner just weeks ago. Kindly respect my edit to her online Wiki. It’s a sad time for all of her friends in Darwin and across the world. She was a great lady, just into her 91 year. Thanks, Sean. Rooboysa (talk) 07:38, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
Please don’t revert my changes without cause
You reverted essentially all of my changes to the natural labor article, and cited something about me trying to promote a product or business. That's absurd. I explain all of my revisions, and offered good reasoning for them. Especially considering the fact that many of my revisions were removing information with bogus citations.
I'm guessing a link to the hypnobirthing website was the reason you assumed all my revisions needed to be undone. But—again—I provide good reason for every revision I made.
If you want to nitpick promotional content, maybe you should go remove every mention of Lamaze in that article, because it's excessive (not to mention outdated, and very quickly becoming an outdated methodology).
So please take more care to read revision statements before you make assumptions. Thanks. Cultlikeminds (talk) 07:49, 21 October 2023 (UTC)

IP edit to Coco Chanel Mistakenly identified as vandalism
Hello fellow traveller! See: [Oct 24, 2023, 04:56] Where you reverted IP's description of subject as a nazi agent. There is a section in the article titled "Activity as Nazi agent". Unless there is something I am missing, it appears to me that the description of subject as a nazi agent is both factual and notable for inclusion in the introductory paragraph. Although, I do suppose "collaborator" rather than "agent" might be a more apt descriptor. Thoughts? — FenrisAureus ▲ (she/they) (talk) 05:11, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
Wincobank railway station
I see you have reverted my edit to the Midland Wincobank railway station without any explanation. In my edit (removal of the 2013 photo) I explained it was the wrong building and provided a link to an article about the South Yorkshire Railway Meadow Hall and Wincobank railway station which shows a different (2005) photograph of the same building but in the right Wiki article. Clearly the same building can't be in two different locations. There is a clue in the file name as well, Meadow Hall & Wincobank railway station (site), Yorkshire (geograph 3789642).jpg as well as geolocation information on its geograph page, https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3789642 (I am familiar with the area as well having regulary walked a friend's dog along the footpath many times as well as having worked on British Rail, years ago when the track was still there, though unused). I hope the above explains why I am removing the photograph again. There is even a 'Not to be confused with' notice above the articles mainspace on both pages. 2A00:23C2:8B08:E501:51C0:3204:7E79:2F23 (talk) 07:37, 24 October 2023 (UTC)

Education in Thailand
Since December 1995, activities have been conducted in four main areas:
· School reform. Efforts have been stepped up to standardize the quality of education in all levels and types of schools and educational institutions. Educational coverage has been expanded.
· Teacher reform. Training and recruitment of teachers have been reformed urgently and comprehensively both in public and private schools. Educational administrators and personnel have been developed continuously.
Curriculum reform. Curriculum and teaching-learning processes have been reformed on an urgent basis in order to raise educational quality of all types and levels.
· Administrative reform. Through devolution, educational institutions have been empowered to make administrative decisions and to offer appropriate educational services which are as consistent as possible with the local lifestyle and conditions. Provincial organizations have been strengthened to facilitate devolution while private participation of the family and community have been promoted and supported. <re> https://elibrary.ksp.or.th/doc_num.php?explnum_id=4954</ref>

Edits reverted on Aastha Sharma page
Hi there, you reverted my changes on Aastha Sharma. I mistakenly forgot to add a "Edit Summary". My changes were mainly removal of redundant references. It was to address the issue raised in the "maintenance template". It states that there are too many links to other articles, and the page requires cleanup to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. I could see that there are multiple references for the same detail, where one reference is more than enough.
Hence, I made the appropriate removals and re-published, I missed to add "Edit Summary" while publishing the changes. Can I redo the changes I did again? Sunil (talk) 04:58, 27 October 2023 (UTC)

It seems like you are reverting changes without reading what I updated or are you a bot only? Yes, I am editing Wikipedia pages after a long gap but by no mean I am willing to vandalize. I fail to understand how uploading a latest picture is an act of vandalism?

Edit removals.
There is no valid reason to use the Wikipedia if someone like myself inserts an edit including facts and findings out of just one of many similar books available for all Americans to read and some random Wikipedia editor removes my edit. I listed my source. I stated that all quotes were taken from ("The Return" by Dick Morris, Introduction, p.p. xii-xiii). That is nothing more and nothing less than control of the narrative of an article by one person, or, by a small select group. And, it is Not open, neither is it free speech. If my edit/added content with it's source included is not reinserted soon then I remain convinced that Wikipedia is a biased online publication which utilizes pre appointed editors to control the narratives of all of its many different :articles and other information. And, furthermore, I have already alerted some of my friends, family and followers about this incident regarding my "edit" to the January 6, 2020 article. That way Wikipedia can begin to loose some credibility and gradually lose a good amount, if not most, of its readership. Truthisbest8721 (talk) 05:20, 30 October 2023 (UTC)

Charles Evans
Commissioner for Railways. I have been trying to augment the entry about my great grandfather and to correct the egregious mistakes about his children. I made those changes based on his death certificate and thethorough research done by my late mother, Mary Hogan. I would be happy to provide the citations if I could just work out how to do it. Please be aware he had no child called Rene, or Louie - though he did have a daughter in law called Louisa Galliott. My relationship exists through his eldest daughter, Rosa Ann Hogan, his fourth child, who was my grandmother. My changes are not vandalism but an honest attempt to correct the entry. I would appreciate your help in doing this. Thanks in advance. Christine ChrissieH97 (talk) 07:29, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
- ChrissieH97, a death certificate for somebody named "Charles Evans" is not an acceptable a source because there have been thousands of people named "Charles Evans" over the centuries. What is needed is a reliable source that indisputably discusses this specific Charles Evans and his children. Otherwise, there is no need to mention his children at all. - Re reliable sources. What was the reliable source for Charles Evans’ children in the original? And while the citation 4 was from a reliable source, it had nothing to do with the family of the commissioner.
- I am really trying to understand and deal with this respectfully. I would ask you remember this is my family history which is both lived experience and deeply researched by my mother, and find Cullen328’s tone perplexing. ChrissieH97 (talk) 09:05, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
- The children are already mentioned, so I was trying to correct the errors.
- RE the death certificate, there is only one Bernard Charles Evans born in Taunton to John Evans and his wife Ann Acland, died December 31 1920. That is the copy I have and it is an unimpeachable sour ChrissieH97 (talk) 08:46, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
- ChrissieH97, we insist that a primary source be authenticated and discussed by a secondary source, such as an historian or competent biographer. What an individual Wikipedia editor who goes by Cullen or Chrissie believes is of no relevance. We summarize published sources with a very strong preference for reliable, secondary sources. - My question about Charles Evans’ children remains. The intellectual rigour you describe seems missing from the list which is both incomplete and in part inaccurate. ChrissieH97 (talk) 10:59, 31 October 2023 (UTC)

hiya, was reading through Cologne's sister cities, and noticed that Bethlehem had a Palestinian flag yet was listed as being in Israel? a quick search showed me that Bethlehem is unambiguously in Palestinian territory, and Cologne's Städtepartnerschaften website describes it as a Palestinian city (which is also reflected in Cologne's German wikipedia article)
was about to simply correct this, but saw that you had recently reverted such a correction, so... is there a particular reason to list it as Israeli? didn't want to start editing back and forth, and may have missed something whilst searching Lucabsol (talk) 14:17, 31 October 2023 (UTC)

Quick question
On Marvel Studios Animation, a user reverted my edit on the page. My edit just made the type go from "Division" to "Division". They said the reason for reverting it was because of an Overlink. My question is, were they correct that it was in fact an Overlink? WiinterU (talk) 16:02, 1 November 2023 (UTC)

Hi buddy, I just noticed the message you leave me. The think is that if you click into the the names of the people that appear (I had not yet given time to link them) you will see that in their own articles they say they are from Tres Cantos. In addition, and just in case, I have previously checked it in the Spanish Wikipedia. I don't know what other references I can put, if you would be so kind as to tell me I will try to modify it if I know how to do it (as I am an amateur who does not control the editing codes much). I'm going to put it as before, with the links in the names, if you see that it's not what you expected, delete it and tell me what to do, if I don't know how to do it, I won't put those names again, since, in the beginning, I don't have any more references than the Wikipedia articles of the persons mentioned. Reegards and thank you for your time.

Banned Sock causing disruption as IP
Hi there, I found you on recently active admins. The IP 148.252.159.203 claims to be a meatpuppet of recently banned sockpuppet, MeltingDistrict. Per Looks like a duck to me, this IP who had no previous edits, and found there way mysteriously to the page of an editor that MeltingDistrict had extremely bad blood towards, clearly is just a plain old sock. But in either case, by their own admission, they are socking. Please see [3]. They will shortly post here to claim innocence as they are following all my edits. The edsums provide evidence though. I have requested page protection on the page, but this user is not allowed to make edits anywhere on wikipedia and they are clearly intent on disruption. I note that 148.252.159.0/24 has a few recentish edits on the range that may be unrelated. 148.252.159.66 is the same user. Banning the range could affect some users but perhaps a short range block might encourage them to go outside and enjoy the weather. Thanks. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 11:30, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
- Sirfurboy, you know full well that I am not a blocked or banned editor, I am entitled to make edits and to not expect you to delete my talk page contributions on the grounds of your (incorrect) assumptions that I am a sockpuppet. If you recall, you already unsuccessfully reported me (the IP 148.252.159.66) to a sock puppet investigation page as a 'suspected sockpuppet': [4] but I was not blocked. The admins and editors on that page had the option of blocking me then if they thought it was warranted, and did not. Therefore, your claim that I am consequently "not allowed to make edits anywhere on Wikipedia" is just plain wrong, I am not a blocked/banned sockpuppet or meatpuppet. Furthermore, you claim I've confessed to being a meatpuppet -- no. What I openly said was that I had originally been notified --just notified-- about the related Rfc discussion at Talk:Michael Stone (criminal) by what it has now materialised was a sock editor. I had no previous involvement and I believed at that time that I was being asked to take a look in good faith by an editor who just wanted to give wider notification to uninvolved editors. Me getting notified as such does not make me a meatuppet, it actually makes me an innocent bystander in all of this that was dragged into it when I was unaware of the sockpuppettry, and now as a result I'm getting accussed of it myself. If you've decided that that is wrong and I am still a sockpuppet you need to use the appropriate channels to report me for this - and frankly, for the thousandth time, I would encourage you to do so. Yet curiously you haven't and prefer to go to random admins giving a very misleading part-summary in the hope that they will block me where others haven't. And additionally you are also just unjustifiably deleting my talk(!) and unilaterally declaring that I am a banned sock, without any mandate to make such a declaration 148.252.159.203 (talk) 10:40, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
- SPI, of course, does not confirm IP socking for privacy reasons. The admission of socking, however, blows that away. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 11:38, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
- That's funny, because I never made an "admission of socking". I made an open admission that the reason I had got involved in the original discussion was because the user that has now revealed to have been a sockpuppet notified me --just notified-- about the ongoing discussion, which users are allowed to do. He did not tell me what to edit and I never edited on behalf of him. That does not make me a meatpuppett and I never said I was one and you know that. If you think I am a puppet, however, why don't you just go through the usual channels of reporting me as such (again)? 148.252.159.203 (talk) 11:44, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
- Just a quick note to say I obviously just missed you. This has now been dealt with at ANI. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 18:51, 4 November 2023 (UTC)

Commons block of vandal?
Hi, and thanks for being so swift to deal with this urgent issue!
So for some reason the Commons block request page is protected and I don’t have any Commons history or privileges.
Do you mind blocking Porsche with no brakes 69, the user who created those images?
By the way, I am pretty sure the individual in question is a moderately experienced user, because 1) they knew about a bot that blocks proxies (not something I knew about until they mentioned it in their edit summary) and 2) they were keeping an eye on ANI (unless it was my contrib history they were keeping an eye on).
P.S. I found out about all this because a family member showed me the issue. My little brother helps me fight vandalism.

2409:4000::/22 continued talk disruptions after block expiration, notice of discussion at ANI
Hey Materialscientist, last year Halloween you blocked the IPv6 range 2409:4000::/22 from editing certain talk namespaces, because of frequent and non-stop unconstructive activity from it in those namespaces. That partial block has expired almost a week ago since, and almost immediately after that, it's been back to the same ol' daily disruptive behaviour on various talk namespace pages again.
I have started a discussion at ANI about this IP range, link to thread here, which includes all the details and a list of diffs of evidence; could you take a look at it and see if we need another talk namespaces block for that range? — AP 499D25 (talk) 04:07, 6 November 2023 (UTC)

I'm new to this but I'm sure you know how to edit much better so, there's a song from 2023 named "Writing on the Wall", by Will Stetson (Youtube link: https://youtube.com/watch?v=BW5G7v5PqPc?si=ZJRLG9pxBWtN8jwH ) if you could please add it properly it would be really great, thank you for correcting my mistake. Was there a discussion on genderizing the categories for chess players?
I don't like it. Surely just "American chess players" is a valid category, instead of "American male chess players"? Was there any discussion on this? Any policy cited? MaxBrowne2 (talk) 08:47, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- We did have a category "American female chess players", so there is no reason not to have "American male chess players", as we have for other sports. Male/female chess players do compete separately in nearly all events. Materialscientist (talk) 08:49, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- Actually they don't. Apart from a few events such as the Women's World championship and various women's national championships, almost all events are open to both men and women. MaxBrowne2 (talk) 08:52, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- If I read a random woman chess player page, Anna Muzychuk for example, all I see is women-only tournaments. Materialscientist (talk) 08:56, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- Some woman players prefer to play in women only tournaments, probably to avoid harassment. But there are not tournaments that are exclusively for male players. Muzychuk does play in a few open tournaments, such as the Gibraltar Masters. MaxBrowne2 (talk) 09:07, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- Sure, and some women are known to play against men, like Polgar sisters and some Soviet-Georgian players, but this is relatively rare. Materialscientist (talk) 09:11, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- Women only tournaments are what is relatively rare. Certainly in the US, strong players like Irina Krush generally play in open events. MaxBrowne2 (talk) 09:19, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- Women are quite scarce in organized chess.
- At the amateur level, one looks at the "Tournament Life" section of Chess Life magazine or the US Chess website, and there are almost no women-only tournaments. At a higher level, there are open tournaments and invitational tournaments. Again, "open" tournaments, like the U.S. Open, or the state championships, or large regional tournaments such as the Chicago Open or the World Open, are invariably open to both sexes. At this level one can find women-only invitationals, such as the U.S. Women's Championship, or the Cairns Cup. These are organized, and get coverage, precisely because there are so few women in chess. But women also take advantage of the opportunities in the open tournaments; for example, in my October 2023 issue of Chess Life, there is an article about American masters playing in the Biel (Switzerland) chess festival, including a woman, Yassamin Eshani.
- As a rule, women become notable in chess most often by competing successfully against men. This is illustrated well historically in the articles about Vera Menchik and Nona Gaprindashvili, both of which very recently were pushed to GA. Bruce leverett (talk) 04:28, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
- As I mentioned above, Polgar sisters, Gaprindashvili and Menchik are those rare exceptions that confirm the rule - yes, they did successfully play against men, but even those individuals predominantly competed against women (except for one Polgar sister). Women chess is significant in Europe, China and Georgia (and not in US), which are the world leaders. AFAIK, there, women mostly compete against women, at least at the top level, which is what we exclusively cover on Wikipedia. You might be right about "the amateur level in the US", but those players are not notable for Wikipedia. Of course, nobody forbids entry for women into a chess open (unless it is played in a Muslim country), as this would cause public outrage for obvious reasons. This is a mere courtesy. Materialscientist (talk) 04:45, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
- Just so you know, I opened a discussion at WP:CFD, and so far the consensus seems to be against you. We have literally thousands of articles about individual chess players, both male and female, and it would be a monumental pain in the butt if we had to change the category name of every single chess playing country. MaxBrowne2 (talk) 08:49, 15 November 2023 (UTC)

Ok, I see where I was wrong - the issue is not about women - they have their events and mostly play there, I mean notable female players. The issue is about men - their events are "formally" set up as mixed-gender competitions, even when there is an explicit mirror female event. That is, categories "male chess players .." are wrong. I've reverted myself, sorry for this confusion. Materialscientist (talk) 23:31, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
Re. 2023–24 figure skating season: Thank you
I just wanted to say thank you for placing 2023–24 figure skating season under protection. I've been an editor in the figure skating space for years now, and seeing that page and others significantly altered daily by one user with no communication with other editors was very overwhelming. I'm hoping things can start to be restored to order. Do you have any advice on what steps I or other editors should take if the persistent disruptive editing continues to take place? I've tried reaching out to the user in question directly to get their perspective, but to no avail. Anyway, thanks again! Clemkr (talk) 17:41, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- Unfortunately the only way to cool down the editor you mentioned, in my opinion, is to place 2023–24 figure skating season under full protection for a short period of time, because this editor is an extended confirmed user.
- Altering pages regarding figure skating must have given this editor a big sense of fulfillment, especially 2023–24 figure skating season, the page most viewed and contributed by all kind of Wikipedians each year during the season. If the major page 2023–24 figure skating season could be put under full protection for a while, hopefully this editor's frenzy might be over soon. 84.142.223.28 (talk) 22:10, 14 November 2023 (UTC)

Kosovo Police
Hey Man, I was hoping you could take some time out of your day and research a bit on the armored vehicles of the Kosovo Police. You have put some wrong information on there. The quantity and names of some of the vehicles are so wrong. For example that Toyota Apc is called IAG Sentry and we have 10 of those. We don’t have the IAG Guardian we have IAG JAWS and 11 from them. We have 3 Bastions, 4 Spartan, 8 Renault Sherpa and 12 Humvee. If you want to know how I know how many we have it’s just because I list them on their license plates. That’s how I count them 2001:16A2:CF08:C00:A891:1997:66F3:9FB (talk) 04:24, 15 November 2023 (UTC)

User:Materialscientist, I request your assistance in a frustrating matter. Despite being blocked over it, User:JosephWC insists on adding a trivial non-appearance to the Vulture and Zzzax's pages, among others, despite what I and 8.37.179.254 say otherwise and mounting personal attacks on me and other editors, even going so far as to start an WP:EDITWAR over the Vulture and Zzzax. Materialscientist, you would have enjoyed it too--a poet who had access to her Dutch grandmother's letters and diaries, dating back to the Hongerwinter. Anyway, User:Blazewing16, I think I will need to see a bit more--I saw edit warring, sure, and some weird self-reverts, and some attempts at sarcasm--but NPA? The edit warring, that's not hard: revert, report, warn (and you can warn for "introducing improperly sourced content" or whatever), and then report at AIV. range block adjustment
Hi! Can you consider adjusting of 67.226.220.0/22? Several student editors participating in Wikipedia:Wiki Ed/Denmark Technical College/Principles of Engineering (Fall 2023) report being affected by it with no active VPN. - Every single request from an IP in the 67.226.220.0/22 range originates from another, and different IP range. I can't investigate exact tunneling mechanism right now, but such a patterns does mean an open proxy or VPN of some kind. There is a quick test tool for that here, though it is not always accessible. I don't think Twinkle has a "mass CSD tagging" function, so could you WP:NUKE these subpages and the main talk page as well? Thanks! Liu1126 (talk) 11:49, 20 November 2023 (UTC)

Hello. I edited Horacio Malvicino's page with his death, that occured today, November 20th. My source is a telephone call from his son informing us of his father death. You'll read about it tomorrow probably. Thanks anyway 2600:1700:1CF0:5ED0:45C3:B2B0:C44D:8404 (talk) 03:53, 21 November 2023 (UTC)

Hi MS, you just blocked that IP for a month. They're on my watchlist after I blocked them yesterday. That block has expired but as far as I can tell they haven't edited or tripped a filter since so why the fresh block? HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 23:39, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
- The block was intended, but is marginal, so please feel free to unblock. My argument is this: all edits and filter attempts are intentional vandalism, with nothing constructive. If that all happened on one day, then a short block would be fine. If that happened in a span of 10+ days, then a long block is in order, because there is a high chance of return. Experience tells that chances are >50%. Materialscientist (talk) 23:44, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
- I get that. I agree with your approach. But I'm still not sure why you blocked this IP when they hadn't made any edits (or tripped any filters) since their previous block expired. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 21:03, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
You might want to consider revokeing this ip's talk page access, as this ip continues to mis use it's talk page while blocked. 2600:8801:FB00:21:ED54:E7EA:CC6D:273F (talk) 00:40, 22 November 2023 (UTC)

Deletion of content without previous notice
Dear Materialscientist,
Please restore my edition on the article Karl von Urban, so I can add its trustworthy source. The deletion without prior communication to me made me lose hours of work. I could, and would, add the reference.
I am new in Wikipedia and ask you to treat me with patience and courtesy, respecting my efforts and time.
So please, restore my edition so I can add the reference.
Also, I ask you for the next time to kindly communicate to me how to improve the edition, being helpful, instead of outrightly deleting the content I added.
Thank you very much! CarlosFelix1 (talk) 06:44, 24 November 2023 (UTC)

Gyaru article
Hello!
I just got your message; I'd really like you to revert the article's edit; as these are actual magazines. The only issue is that to clarify that these are real I would need to make a citation for which I couldn't as there isn't official or Wikipedia standard information on this subject to make it verifiable. There are seller with links online to these magazines but I assume that this would be an improper citation.
I understand the confusion on why I added these to the article but they are real magazines. Would it be possible to revert your edit? Thank you. 80.57.242.245 (talk) 23:37, 24 November 2023 (UTC)

Hello, I am new to Wikipedia so I'm sorry if I did something wrong but the recent edit I made that you ended up reverted was backed by sources including the official Ridgewood, NJ zoning code, the neighborhood change backed by a different source, etc. If there is something I'm doing wrong please tell inform me however I do want to contribute to the article and think it's dumb that my changes got reverted.
I will admit that there are better sources than a Wordpress website that I have found but I digress.

Uniting the structure of the English and Arabic pages
Hello, regarding the recent edit. I have elaborated my reasoning in the Talk page as follows:
The English and Arabic pages of Ibn Taymiyya are structured differently:
• The English page is organized as follows: Name, Overview, Early years, Life as a scholar, Involvement in the Mongol invasions, Imprisonment on charges of anthropomorphism, Life in Egypt, Return to Damascus and later years, Death, Students, Legacy, Influences, Views, Contemporary influence, Modern reception, Works.
• The Arabic is organized as follows: Beginnings, Biography, Methodology, Jurisprudential and doctrinal opinions, Positions, impact on his time, Extension of its influence, Opinions and positions about him, His writings.
The Arabic page is better in these regards:
• Overview is not found in the Arabic page. Indeed, it seems to be superfluous. The preliminary introduction already serves as an overview. I think it should be removed entirely.
• Life as a scholar, Involvement in the Mongol invasions, Imprisonment on charges of anthropomorphism, Life in Egypt, Return to Damascus and later years, and Death are subsections under Biography in the Arabic page, which seems to be more rational. In fact, I think Early years/Beginnings should also be under Biography.
• Impact on his time, extension of its influence, Opinions and positions about him are clearer titles than Legacy, Contemporary influence, and Modern reception. The synonymous nature of the previous sections resulted in large overlap between them. They should be titled clearly as Impact in his time, Contemporary influence, and Opinions about him.
The English page is better in these regards:
• The Arabic page includes Name (Lineage) under Beginnings (Early years). I think the separation by the English page is better, because they're arguably unrelated.
• I think the Arabic distinction between Methodology, Jurisprudential and doctrinal opinions, Positions is entirely unclear, and if there is any, they should be subsections under Views.
• The Arabic page includes Students under Impact on his time. I think the separation by the English page is better, because him having an impact on his students is not necessary. Dinomar2000 (talk) 07:11, 26 November 2023 (UTC)

Takako Matsu
Dude, I have a question here: what do you mean I edited the article about Takako Matsu without having a reference? I don't know if you follow Kabuki, but Nakamura Kichiemon II was Matsumoto Hakuō II's younger brother, so he was her uncle. Sonoko Fujima is her sister-in-law (married to her older brother, Matsumoto Kōshirō X), so his two children, Ichikawa Somegorō VIII and Mio Matsuda are her nephews. Why do I have to put references in her article if the information I put in her article is the same that appears in the Wikipedia articles of her older brother, Matsumoto Kōshirō X, her father, Matsumoto Hakuō II and her uncle, Nakamura Kichiemon II? Sorry to tell you, but you made a mistake on this one... 2804:14C:5B41:84B6:9860:C597:11ED:7A7C (talk) 08:06, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
A request for clarification of a rollback
Can yiu explain your reason for this edit? It isn't obvious to me, nor, as far as I can see, have you given any explanation anywhere. JBW (talk) 10:58, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
- I guess I should have reverted myself, or someone should have reverted or notified me. You can see HG in the revert summary. Huggle always shows only one edit in a sequence, and often fails to tell that there is a sequence. That edit may look suspicious, and this is a common problem with Huggle. For this reason, I used Stiki rather than Huggle, because it always showed the whole string, but unfortunately, Stiki was abandoned a few years ago. Materialscientist (talk) 11:08, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
- Ok, I remember now what triggered my revert [11]. 11:10, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
- OK, thanks for explaining. I didn't know that Stiki had been abandoned. I never used it myself, but I have been told by another editor that it was much better than Huggle. As for Huggle, I used to use it a great deal many years ago, but stopped when I stopped using Windows, because the old version of Huggle that was around then worked only with Windows. Years later I tried returning to Huggle, but it had been very substantially rewritten, and didn't work in the way that I was used to, and I didn't feel like putting in the time and effort to relearn how to use it, so I've never used it again. However, back in the days when I did use it, I was quite concerned about the thing you mentioned, about it only giving the last edit, with no context if that was the latest in a sequence of edits by the same person. I used to get round that by having a separate browser window open, in which I had a quick look at the editing history before reverting with Huggle. It slowed my anti-vandal work down to some extent, but I felt that was a price to be paid for the advantage of dramatically reducing my error rate. You may like to consider doing something similar, because, as you probably know from other messages I've written to you in the past, while the overwhelming majority of your edits are absolutely fine, I feel that you do have a higher error rate than you should, and spending a little more time checking before clicking would have benefits. Anyway, thanks again for explaining how you came to make the revert I asked you about. JBW (talk) 13:16, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
- Windows issues aside, I went through the same thoughts that you mentioned. I still consider Stiki a necessary evil, the only tool that can cope with vandalism in real time, yet a very clumsy tool. I am thinking to abandon it or strongly limit its use in favor of checking logs of recent changes and our numerous edit filters. Some of them, like 135, 320, 46 and maybe 384 and 432 have a relatively low amount of false positives. Maybe there are others that I don't know (recent ones). Anyone can suggest such filters? Carl Reyher article - need the changes to cite the sources
I noted in the wikipedia EDIT SUMMARY entry for source of edits the following sources: Content in this edit is translated from the existing German Wikipedia article at de:Karl von Reyher; see its history for attribution. In addition, content is added from the original source biograophy of Carl Friedrich Wilhelm von Reyher, General der Kavallerie und Chef des Generalstabes der Armee. E.S. Mittler & Sohn, Berlin 1861 and 1869, (books.google.de) by Karl Rudolf von Ollech. It was right in the notes that wikipedia asks for my entire edits.
You deleted the translation work of several days without asking first. I can't get back to all the work that I did to cite the sources because I didn't save it anywhere else. It was several pages worth. As noted in the ED The primary sources are just the article in German (which the English page referenced in the first place) plus one of the books listed as the source in the German language wikipedia version (Book: Carl Friedrich Wilhelm von Reyher by Karl Rudolf von Ollech, Berlin, 1861). 2601:601:CA7E:29F0:B54E:1702:B3A0:4415 (talk) 03:11, 30 November 2023 (UTC)

Could you please stop this? I am getting tired of the edit wrecking stuff. Ok? 2601:1C2:5100:A3F0:D470:E7E0:7AB:110B (talk) 02:47, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
Juan Carlos Paz y Puente
Hi.
Paz y Puente is my boss. hes has worked for the music industry for a REALLY LONG TIME. He is about to have bunch of interviews on the upcoming weeks. All I did was updated his info. You reverted all the work that I did. You just say I need a source, what kind of source, to what, to whom, what kind of Link, you can't do this and don't leave the specifics of your indication. I demand clear information of what is exactly what a I have to change. DEBBI B 02 (talk) 03:22, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
- (by talk reader) @DEBBI B 02: You have a conflict of interest. Please tell your boss that you cannot edit on his behalf. We need reliable sources which usually means books, newspapers, and other periodicals. We need coverage from sources independent of your boss so interviews won't be good enough. As I've been telling folks, let's wait until the subject dies and then use the obituaries. This encyclopedia doesn't need a shoddy article right now; we ought to wait until we have good source material to write responsible summaries with. You can find more at WP:CITE regarding the technical end of citations but it sounds like you have nothing and should go back to Facebook. Chris Troutman (talk) 04:05, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
- All I did to the "shoddy" articule was add new info. DEBBI B 02 (talk) 21:41, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
You reverted my edit
My edit was completely constructive and factual. It was based on my own experience with AITA's pathetic excuse for a mod team. ThrowRAPube (talk) 05:42, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
- @ThrowRAPube: Wikipedia does not want your personal knowledge. Wikipedia needs what other people have written in verifiable and reliable third-party sources. - UtherSRG (talk) 12:06, 1 December 2023 (UTC)

- @ThrowRAPube: You don't have to take my word for it. You can read the links I provided. You can also read WP:Purpose. - UtherSRG (talk) 23:59, 1 December 2023 (UTC)

It might be worth blocking 107.77.205.0/24 here. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 04:20, 2 December 2023 (UTC)

Slow down
You are hitting that Rollback button too quickly. You have been around long enough to know better. Look at the changes made rather than it being from an anon editor. I racked up 100,000 edits before I got pissed off with the problems that the community is not fixing. 43.249.196.159 (talk) 05:04, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
- You would avoid many problems if you used edit summaries. Note that even registered users with decades of editing experience do use edit summaries, and "It was obvious" is rarely a valid explanation. Materialscientist (talk) 05:08, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
