According to the 2014 Moldovan census, there was around 9,000 Romani people living in Moldova (0.3 per cent of the population), Roma leaders believe that the actual number of Roma living in Moldova is around 250,000. The Moldovan Roma minority arw are disadvantaged in many aspects of their lives, including employment, health and education..[1]
