Scolopendra paradoxa, also called the philippine mint-legged centipede. It is in Scolopendra which is the only known genus of amphibious centipede. It was discovered in 2018. More than 14 centimetres long. “paradoxon”, meaning contradiction, because it was thought to be a color variant of S. spinosissima (philippine giant centipede). The centipede has 41 segments, and 82 legs.based on standard external morphological characters was also observed to have different genetic distances, monophyly, and node support, confirming S. spinosissima and S. paradox aren't the same species. It was first found in a little stream, and is commonly a pet in the philippines where it was found.
