College career
Kuhlmann played college soccer for both Standford University (2017 - 2020) and the University of Colorado (2022). The Stanford Cardinals went undefeated throughout the 2017 NCAA Division 1 season,[1] and progressed to the 2017 NCAA Division I women's soccer tournament. Stanford reached the finals in Orlando, Florida and defeated the UCLA Bruins 3-2 in the championship match.[2]
Kuhlmann's collegiate career was impacted by multiple injuries. In 2019, she tore her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and medial miniscus,[3] and her return to soccer was further impacted by COVID-19. After fully recovering in 2021, she tore her labrum and had a microfacture in her right hip.
The NCAA granted an extra season of eligibility for the COVID-19 pandemic and Kuhlmann spent that extra season playing for the Buffaloes. She recorded 12 goals and six assists, totaling 30 points that tied her for second in team history with Jorian Baucom and Taylor Kornieck.[4]
Club career
Kuhlmann was drafted by the Spirit during the 2023 NWSL Draft and signed a two-year contract with a team option for 2025.[5] In July 2023, she suffered a season-ending knee injury during training.[6]
