On the First Beat
On The First Beat is a of 30 episodes TVB drama scheduled to be aired and released in 2007. It is also the sequel of the 2005's third highest rating series, The Academy in 2005. The leading stars features Ron Ng, Sammul Chan and Chin Ka Lok from the original series and some new actors including Micheal Tao, Sonija Kwok, Joey Yung, Kenny Kwan and Kate Tsui.

Trivia
- Ron Ng, Deep Ng and Kenny Kwan sings the theme song of the series, the song is called 邁向夢想的天空.
- This will be Ron Ng's third series aired on TVB in 2007 by April.
- Due to schedule conflicts, Tavia Yeung and Fiona Sit will only reprise their roles in the early part of the seires. Tavia's character will go to Japan to study while Fiona's character will die in an accident.
- Michael Miu will also make a cameo in this series as a different character since his character died in the original series.
