Laura Bispuri (born 20 August 1977) is an Italian director and screenwriter.
Biography
After graduating in Cinema at the Sapienza University of Rome, Bispuri attended the Fandango Lab Workshop, a school of cinema in Rome.[1] After directing a documentary named Via del Pigneto in 2003, Bispuri made her first short film Passing Time in 2010, which earned her the David di Donatello for Best Short Film.
Her first feature film, Sworn Virgin, was presented at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival,[2] and her second film, Daughter of Mine, was presented at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival.[3]
His first film Virgin Sworn, starring Alba Rohrwacher, was presented in Competition at the 2015 Berlin Film Festival. In development, the project was selected at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival in the Atelier Cinéfondation showcase.[4]
In 2018, her second film Figlia mia was released in competition at the 68th Berlin Film Festival.[5] The film is selected at various international festivals, including Tribeca in New York and AFI in Los Angeles, and wins numerous awards.[6]
