Bhajan Lal Sharma (born 1967) is an Indian politician designated to take charge as the 14th Chief Minister of Rajasthan since 12 December 2023. He is a member of the 16th Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, representing the Sanganer constituency.[1]
Previously, he served as the General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Rajasthan.
Political career
He has served as the General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Rajasthan four times.[2]
Following the 2023 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election, he was elected as an MLA from the Sanganer Assembly constituency, defeating Pushpendra Bhardwaj, the candidate from the Indian National Congress (INC), by a margin of 48,081 votes.[3]
On 12 December 2023, he was appointed as the 14th Chief Minister of Rajasthan by the Bharatiya Janata Party[4] along with two deputy CMs, Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa.
