If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."
If you are here because you want an admin to approve of your new article or your proposed page move, you are in the wrong place.

This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.

the - If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
- If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

Uncontroversial technical requests
- 2006–07 Vijay Hazare Trophy (currently a redirect to 2006–07 Ranji One Day Trophy) → 2006–07 Ranji One Day Trophy (move · discuss) – The trophy was renamed in 2007 from its original title of Ranji One Day Trophy to Vijay Hazare Trophy but that change was not effective when the 2006–07 tournament took place. This should have been a straightforward move but I think it has been obstructed because there is another current redirect incorrectly spelled as 2006–07 Ranji One-Day Trophy (the hyphen is an error). Thank you. Batagur baska (talk) 12:56, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hi. Is there a problem with this request? If so, what can I do to help? Thanks. Batagur baska (talk) 06:42, 25 December 2023 (UTC)
- Sangali-Miraj-Kupwad Municipal Corporation (currently a redirect to Sangli, Miraj and Kupwad City Municipal Corporation) → Sangli, Miraj and Kupwad City Municipal Corporation (move · discuss) – official name 49.33.210.66 (talk) 15:43, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
- Antonio Maceo Grajales (currently a redirect to Antonio Maceo) → Antonio Maceo (move · discuss) – "Antonio Maceo" is the common name throughout sources. Grnrchst (talk) 21:08, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
- 2023 Wellingborough recall petition (currently a redirect to 2024 Wellingborough by-election) → 2024 Wellingborough by-election (move · discuss) – Per move request closure, pre-existing consensus to convert recall petition articles to by-election articles. Contested technical requests
- Captains Regent → Capitani reggenti (currently a redirect back to Captains Regent) (move · discuss) – As for capitano del popolo page, the title should be in Italian language. JackkBrown (talk) 23:08, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
- JackkBrown, I'm contesting this: It does not appear to be the common name in English, per policy: Ngrams actually didn't help here, but googling "San Marino Captains Regent" got me many more English language results than "San Marino Capitani reggenti". English language sources only found from the former include websites of the Council of Europe, the UN, and the US State Department.
(This isn't me being snarky, but I'm disheartened to the degree that I didn't even bother to link WP:COMMONNAME at first, because I read what you said before at the Help desk, that you have not read any policy or MOS links you have been given in response to your many questions and misconceptions, so I didn't think to bother. I really think you should explicitly familiarize yourself with policy before making a habit of uncontested RMs.) Remsense留 23:36, 23 December 2023 (UTC)- @Remsense: but the title should be written in lowercase, do you agree? - It appears to be capitalized in all the English-language sources I‘ve looked at above. Remsense留 23:51, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
- Aleut (currently a redirect to Aleuts) → Aleuts (move · discuss) – Name already in article. Like Catalans, Romanians, Ukrainians. Lucjim (talk) 19:29, 22 December 2023 (UTC)
- There's been discussion of the name before, so this is a WP:PCM. -Kj cheetham (talk) 19:33, 22 December 2023 (UTC)
- Timeline of the war in Donbas (2014–2022) (currently a redirect to Timeline of the war in Donbas) → Timeline of the war in Donbas (move · discuss) – Per parent article War in Donbas. HappyWith (talk) 02:30, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
- The page was moved to the current title per an RM at Talk:Combatants_of_the_war_in_Donbas#Requested_move_23_September_2023. Open a new RM if you believe consensus has changed. I have also reverted the other move that was made by a page mover at International reactions to the war in Donbas as an undiscussed move per WP:RMUM. EggRoll97 (talk) 01:53, 25 December 2023 (UTC)
- Nivedita Joshi-Saraf (currently a redirect to Nivedita Saraf) → Nivedita Saraf (move · discuss) – comman name 49.33.204.160 (talk) 17:16, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
- This was moved and back forth on 13 June 2023 already, so is probably a WP:PCM. -Kj cheetham (talk) 17:23, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
- Medal of the Republic (China) → Medal of the Republic (move · discuss) – Make shorter (WP:CONCISE, WP:PRECISE) Cfls (talk) 21:31, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
- The article has a contentious move history (mostly about "Medal" vs "Order" of the Republic), and the existence of Medal of the Republic (TV series) means it might not even be the primary topic. So even though I agree that the current situation clearly makes the article WP:MISPLACED, it feels like a full RM is necessary to untangle these disputes. - Template:Cycling data TJV (currently a redirect to Template:Cycling data TVL) → Template:Cycling data TVL men (currently a redirect instead to Template:Cycling data TVL) (move · discuss) – Per the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the code given for the team is TVL from 2024, rather than TJV. As the women's team is also listed under TVL (their template has already been moved and features at Template:Cycling data TVL women), that's the reasoning for TVL men. Template is move-protected since 2012. Craig(talk) 23:18, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
