Requested automated help
FYI regarding page moves above. Per discussion at User talk:Tariqabjotu#Hotel California page move I have made a bot request to make the necessary link changes. --RacerX11 Talk to meStalk me 06:14, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
Category
This article should not be in Category:Fictional hotels, but Hotel California should. “Hotel California” is the only song about a fictional hotel, as well as the name of the hotel itself. Unfortunately, this page is semi-protected. 165.91.13.163 (talk) 01:59, 9 December 2017 (UTC)
- Fair point. Done. Happy days, LindsayHello 12:34, 9 December 2017 (UTC)

My request is to add information of each song from the album please so people know about each song, if it is not too much pressure. Yours sincerely, Jack. Ilikemusic67 (talk) 18:59, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
- Not done: as you have not requested a specific change in the form "Please replace XXX with YYY" or "Please add ZZZ between PPP and QQQ", nor cited reliable sources to back up your request.
In any case, the most notable songs already have their own articles, and we would not want to duplicate that information in this article. - Arjayay (talk) 14:57, 27 August 2018 (UTC)

Hotel California (Eagles album) → Hotel California (album) – Seems to be the pretty clear WP:INCDAB primary topic to me. It's just this article and Hotel California (Tyga album) – between the two, this article takes 96% of the pageviews, while the latter takes 4%. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 22:34, 13 December 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. - Weak oppose I'm not sure 96% is enough. Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:59, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
- Support per nom. As for "not sure 96% is enough", would 97% do? Speedy close. Randy Kryn (talk) 15:26, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. I'm not a fan of the slippery slope we seem to be on lately with WP:PDAB titles. The idea behind the PDAB exception is that if a title overwhelmingly, without the shadow of a doubt, refers to a certain topic, we PDAB it. That's not the case here - Hotel California (Tyga album) charted in multiple countries (including at #7 in the US), is certified Gold by the RIAA, and its lead single "Dope" charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Is as notable as the Eagles album? Of course not. But it's not so insignificant that we should intentionally introduce ambiguity into an article title. 162 etc. (talk) 18:01, 27 December 2023 (UTC)
