B Side Singles

Citizens of Tomorrow does appear on A Lesson in Crime. Is this only the UK release?

Yes, it is on A Lesson in Crime. I think the article means that the "Space Ballad" version is not on the album. − Twas Now ( talkcontribse-mail ) 15:50, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

EMO?

Tokyo Police Club ARE NOT Emo, who put that there? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.27.138.19 (talk) 23:36, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They are the most emo band in history. Take a look at the lead singer's hairstyle and how tight his jeans are. Look at the keyboard player. Listen to their vocals. They are the most emo band in history. They are 100% emo and nothing else. Let's stop kidding ourselves. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.212.75.112 (talk) 22:18, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ha ha, that must be a joke they are nothing but indie rock, 100% indie rock no matter how tight their jeans are, tight jeans are the fashion these days almost everyone wears them it doesnt make you emo.

They most certainly are NOT emo. Unless we have a reliable source for saying this it needs to be removed. --141.157.68.47 23:16, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder, what's the best way to say this? The whole damn lot of you need to shut up and remind yourselves what the purpose of this article is. If you want to be on Tokyo Police Club's PR team, go ahead. It is not for Wikipedia. It's very clear that the second comment in this block was intended as a provocation -- you're fools for having taken the bait, but c'est la vie. Tokyo Police Club's music does have overtones of the emo music scene, regardless of whatever connotations you'd like to attach to the word. Accurate, factual information is perfectly acceptable, though it may be prudent to attach some kind of disclaimer to make your particular employment of the term 'emo' clear, or, better still, to use a less convoluted and vague term. 99.250.118.232 (talk) 01:24, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Appearances Section?

Reading through the main article, I notice there's a lot of trivia about when TPC played this gig, that gig, etc. Maybe we should make some sort of list to gather it all up. Kaoillanthe 22:56, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I cleaned it up, dividing appearance trivia and discography info. I was reluctant to get rid of anything but there is information that likely does not belong in the article. I did eliminate the band members list as it appeared twice. TheArcologist 21:08, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:TPC Smith EP.jpg

Image:TPC Smith EP.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This article seems to be getting bogged down in a lot of external links to interviews, forum posts, etc. I'm going to be bold and delete those which seem self-promotional or unencyclopedic. If there's something of value in an external link please include it in the article's body and footnote it as a source -- otherwise, it shouldn't be here.
