Typo fix

There's a typo in the "future" section regarding a SSBU sequel, literally just needs an "a" in it. Just give it a quick read and you'll see it. 2001:569:5182:2600:61BF:BC0A:4B7D:AACB (talk) 04:20, 25 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Isn’t Smash kind of a beat-‘em-up game, too?

The page suggests Smash belongs solely in the “fighting” genre because players can play against other players.

However, the game allows me to play against CPU-guided characters in addition to other players, so Smash is a mix between a fighting game and a beat-‘em-up game. 140.82.181.174 (talk) 04:34, 27 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I would say no, almost every single fighting game on the planet lets you fight against CPU. Club On a Sub 20 (talk) 17:03, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Fangames section

Should there be a subsection focused on Smash-related fangames? We already link to three in the SSB template (Project M, Super Smash Flash, and Super Smash Land), and there are others for which coverage in multiple reliable sources exists, such as Smash Remix. Should we have a space for these on the main series page in the same way we do for esports, provided sufficient notability can be established for any new entries? -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 09:09, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sakurai has made a statement there likely won’t be another game without his involvement

https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2023/07/sakurai-cant-imagine-future-super-smash-bros-games-without-his-involvement

This gives a hint that Sakurai might still be involved with Nintendo during the Switch’s successor, despite being semi-retired. 2600:6C50:93F:4B1C:DC45:BDD6:AB7D:6CE8 (talk) 19:18, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Why Does it Say "Crossover Fighting Game"? The Crossover Part Makes Sense, But Smash is a Party Game! Melee is a Competitive eSport! Sakurai is a Liar! 216.87.237.81 (talk) 18:58, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
