I'd like to include at least a part of Shapiro's poetry on this page. Is it okay if I include a stanza or two just as an example even if I do not have in-depth discussion of the specific poem it is from? Currently we only have critics's reviews and praise of his poetry and style, which I'm sure would be helpful if they were viewed alongside Shapiro's actual work instead of in place of it. Of course, I would quote a very small piece of his poetry, something equivalent to the "low-resolution" pictures I've seen on the pages for visual artists. (Perhaps I'll quote just the vowels to get a very low-resolution poem.) But, let me know if this seems okay. Ben (talk) 16:48, 25 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I notice that this article is marked as "Low Importance" for the Wiki Poetry project. That seems a bit odd for someone who was the US Poet Laureate and won the Pulitzer Prize for his poetry. Is there any reason Shapiro has fallen out of favor or memory? Ben (talk) 16:53, 25 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
