Saba Faisal (Punjabi, Template:Lang-ur; 31 January 1960) is a Pakistani actress and former news anchor.[1] In her career more than a decade, she has appeared in several acclaimed television serials, theatre, plays and films mainly in Urdu language.[2][3]

Early life

Saba was born in Lahore and she completed her studies from University of Lahore.[4]

Career

In 1981 Saba and some of her friends visited PTV Lahore Centre and there a director noticed her and convinced her to audition for newscasting which she did but was selected as a annonucer which she did for three years later she was selected for Khabarnama at 9pm which she accepted. Saba also did hosting and hosted some programs then she worked as a sports commentator. Later she acted in some PTV dramas in mid 1990s but she continued to worked as newscaster till earlys 2000s then she started acting completely and has worked in more than one hundred dramas.[4]

Personal life

Saba is married to her cousin Faisal Saeed and has three children. Saba's both sons Arsalan, Salman are actors and models and her daughter Sadia Faisal is an actress and model.[5][4]
