Importance

[edit]

I've dropped the page to mid importance (see here), to conform with the Belgian one. Apterygial (talk) 10:24, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How many laps did Kovalainen do?

[edit]

Official FIA website is showing as 32 laps, but I watched the race and he dropped out with 6 laps to go - 49 laps completed. Can anyone shed any light on the discepancy? Mjroots (talk) 16:48, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Forix and Formula1.com, including the live timing screens, say he completed 49 laps, unclassified as 7 laps adrift of the leaders. Bretonbanquet (talk) 16:57, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kovalainen's problems

[edit]

Kovalainen was slow during the race because his first set of front tyres was fitted the wrong way round, and then his team adjusted the set-up during his pit stop without realising what the problem was, causing him to have further handling problems on the second (correctly-fitted) set of tyres. This should probably be included in the article. It's somewhere in the year's Autocourse, I think (which I don't have access to at the moment). --Diniz(talk) 20:29, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a section on it with Autosport and Finnish refs, and these refs can be changed to Autocourse later on. Fairly weird thing to happen, I can't remember ever seeing it happen before. Apterygial 00:30, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
