Village Design Statements (VDS) are a form of Community Led Plan.

Village Design Statements provide an opportunity for communities to describe how they feel the physical character of their parish can be enhanced.

They are documents that identify what is special, unique and distinctive about the character of a parish.

They provide design guidance to influence change and improve the physical qualities of the area.

Rural Community Councils support local communities in the production of Village Design Statements.
