Venues and Dates

[edit]

Venues and dates have been announced [1] Tomrtn (talk) 17:06, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Notability (events) states what the criteria for notable events is, and that the company organizing the series of friendlies posting the dates for them is not one of them. Creating an article at this point violates WP:NOTADVERTISING. Walter Görlitz (talk) 17:11, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There seems to be enough coverage to meet WP:GNG. S.A. Julio (talk) 04:11, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for providing some sources.
Forbes is from a "contributor" and fails RS.
https://www.marca.com/en/football/international-football/2019/03/27/5c9b9b9de5fdea73478b4645.html is just a re-post of the press release. Notice no byline nor author. Fails RS.
football.london is annoying but seems like a good source.
washingtonpost.com seems OK
as.com is also a repeat of the press release and is not a RS.
si.com looks OK. Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:30, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Amazing how you reverted and yet didn't improve the article. Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:32, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
As clearly others seem to think the topic is notable. Nominate it for deletion if you disagree, but continuing to restore the redirect doesn't seem productive. S.A. Julio (talk) 05:14, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It looks OK now. Thanks. Walter Görlitz (talk) 10:12, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding points table

[edit]

The points table has not been properly cited. The actual position of Juve is 7. There's need to check errors in Table. SHISHIR DUA (talk) 10:40, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you think so? Where is the mistake? --Baronedimare (talk) 13:16, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Official standings show Juve in right 8 position.--87.18.98.26 (talk) 19:10, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Venue images

[edit]

Arlington stadium image, it's a baseball pitch, is there no image of a football pitch? Seems completely wrong! Govvy (talk) 08:53, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Is the Guadalajara vs Atlético Madrid venue right? No way could they play a footy match on the Globe Life Park pitch sure? Govvy (talk) 09:05, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In the 1970s, the North American Soccer League frequently used baseball fields for soccer. Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:58, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
A quick Google search for "Guadalajara Spain Atlético Madrid" shows a baseball field image used as a promo for the game. On-field images show that it did not look too bad. I saw no aerial photos to see what the configuration was like though. Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:02, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Walter Görlitz: I didn't see those images in google search, I ran another google search and found the youtube video, I do see Globe Life Park written on the stadium in video, I am surprised, I didn't think a baseball venue would be big enough for a footy game. I have to say, the bad commentary made me laugh! Govvy (talk) 16:34, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
My mistake. The search should have been "Guadalajara Atlético Madrid", without the "Spain". One of the images was this. Walter Görlitz (talk) 17:04, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
