Welcome to Wikipedia, Boweruk! Thank you for your contributions. I am EWikist and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Stubs

[edit]

Hi, Welcome to Wikipedia. A couple of points about Air Umbria:

  • To label an article as a stub, please add {{stub}} at the end, not {{msg:stub}} at the top (see WP:ORDER)
  • When you make a link, check where it goes. You'd linked to Italian, which is a disambiguation page (and no links should point to "dab" pages, as they're often known). I've changed it to link to Italy.
  • When you add a category, have a look at the article afterwards. If the category is listed in red, it doesn't exist. In this case you'd put Category:Airlines in Italy, which should have been Category:Airlines of Italy. Makes all the difference.

There's always a lot to learn about editing Wikipedia, but it's an interesting journey. Have fun. PamD 17:36, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Aelosoma

[edit]

Hello User:Boweruk, welcome to Wikipedia! I was just wondering how you arrived at the article on Ælosoma when you just created your account today and I created the article on Ælosoma today. Did you click on the Random article button? I am asking for my own curiosity :) I hope you enjoy your editing experience here! With regards, AnupamTalk 20:45, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Great work! Let me know if you have any questions or need any help! God bless, AnupamTalk 21:01, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

It is extremely unwise to put incomplete articles in mainspace, even if you apply a {{new page}} tag. I have moved your latest submission to user:Boweruk/sandbox. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:52, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Can you explain why? This is the first article I've created (I've edited/contributed a fair amount but this is the first I've made) Boweruk (talk) 20:56, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Simply because they are incomplete and not all new page patrollers honour the {{new page}} tag. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:01, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wow why did you delete my page i never said it was ready to be a article yet — Preceding unsigned comment added by Josef9 (talkcontribs) 16:35, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If it wasn't ready to be a full article, you shouldn't have created a page. If you want to test your page, or start work on one, use your Sandbox page. Only create the article when it's ready or at least in a semi-readable state. Boweruk (talk) 19:00, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
it was a user page before you moved it to the new title — Preceding unsigned comment added by Josef9 (talkcontribs) 19:19, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't move it. I simply marked it for deletion because it doesn't meet notability or quality guidelines required for Wikipedia. Also, please remember to sign your posts on talk pages with ~~~~ so it's easier to keep track of who said what. Boweruk (talk) 19:22, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:BBC "Pompeii The Mystery of the People Frozen in Time" Titlecard.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:BBC "Pompeii The Mystery of the People Frozen in Time" Titlecard.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:05, 5 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Invite to Join WikiProject for Spoken Wikipedia

[edit]
Hi Boweruk! I am Galendalia (talk · contribs) and I am reviving the WikiProject for Spoken Wikipedia. I noticed that you signed up at some point to be a participant and as I am reviving this project, one of my tasks is to get the participant list in order. Would you please go to the Participants List and add your name and language(s) you speak? If you are already there and do not want to be, please remove yourself. If you want to remain, please put remain next to your name. If I do not see anything, I will move you to the inactive participant list. I am putting a timeline of 7 days on this action to help keep things moving along. It would also be great if you would be willing to join the task force for Pronunciation that would be awesome, as there are troublesome words we run into.

Thank you for considering joining us. If you decide to leave, I will be sad to see you leave as so many people have done a great job on the recordings and any work you have done makes a significant difference.
