Podocarpus latifolius

[edit]

I am removing the image of the above-mentioned as I am not aware of it being native to, or even growing in, Cameroon. See: Podocarpus latifolius —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 196.209.79.218 (talk) 12:21, August 20, 2007 (UTC)

I restored it. Can you provide any sources that describe the range? I'd be more comfortable if I saw those before we delete. — Brian (talk) 13:49, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
First of all, I am South African and would know. But, if you insist, all book resources that I consulted confirmed the fact that it is native to Southern Africa (specifically South Africa), and also the following web links:

IUCN Red List
Furthermore its distribution is south, east and northern Southern Africa, Cameroon is in Central West Africa. Also no authoritative online source could confirm its distribution in Cameroon. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 41.241.158.4 (talk)
So being South African means you know what animals and plants are present in Cameroon? I have no problem with removing it for now, though. Someone thought it was in Cameroon; if they want to keep it here, they should provide their sources. — Brian (talk) 13:51, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
