"deadly disease"

I have added the {{clarify}} template to the following text:

Human papilloma virus is a deadly disease[....]

It's true that some serotypes of human papillomavirus are capable of causing lethal cancers. But most of them don't, or at least aren't known to, and even the ones that can cause cancer often don't. Just ordinary warts, like people get on their hands and feet, are also HPV, and calling them a "deadly disease" seems way over the top.

Ideally the wording should be corrected by an expert, but if no one steps up, I may come back to it. --Trovatore (talk) 05:41, 11 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
