Sources used on the article which where from Bay and Basin FM website can't be used as it's not a reliable third party source. The CBAA source didn't state anything about Bay and Basin FM and it's programming also telling people that they can find the full list of programming in the article is advertising and is a no no on Wikipedia. • Don't take WP:RS too far. See the WP:SELFPUB section of WP:V. The station's website can be used a primary source as long as it is not self-serving and it does not make claims about third parties. Primary sources cannot establish notability, but they can flesh out the basics about the subject. • Gene93k (talk) 14:10, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Congratulations on surviving the AFD. To make it easier to survive any subsequent AFD, here is a suggestion: get a couple of reliable sources. Contact the nearest newspapers and invite them to do a human interest story on the station. Let them know if there are human interest stories about how people came to want a community radio station, how the on-air personnel are trained, the background of the technical personnel, etc. See WOMM-LP for examples of such press coverage, which helps satisfy the need for "substantial coverage in multiple reliable and independent sources" required by WP:N. If there is some "occasion" it is easier to get press coverage: if the station is celebrating an anniversary, or if it has a new higher antenna to provide a larger service area, or if it is getting some kind of award from the community or from some community broadcaster association, or a new transmitter or studio, or if a new crop of on-air personnel are completing a training course, or if it is getting a grant to improve programming, any of these could provide the impetus to get press coverage.
