What to the numbers after the names mean? i.e. "7" after "Salchow". Fang Aili 18:26, 11 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Multiplication of articles

Was it really necessary - and reasonable - to replace this article by five separate articles ?Hektor 16:38, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In addition I don't think this article follows the WikiProject agreed templates anymore.Hektor 16:42, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As I understood the discussion on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Sports Olympics, each medal event should have a separate article. Clearly, this is more important in the more recent years, wherein there is a glut of information available, and the sports with many events, such as athletics and swimming. I wouldn't say there was a particularly clear consensus, though, so if you think the articles should be merged back into one, the Project talk page would be an excellent place to discuss it (especially as it would affect pretty much every sport's article in 1896, 1900, and 1908).
As for the "WikiProject agreed templates", are you referring to something other than the templates at Wikipedia:WikiProject Sports Olympics#Templates? That's the medal summary one I used. The added footer templates are also standard per Wikipedia:WikiProject Sports Olympics/Templates. -- Jonel | Speak 01:30, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
