Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

- Hi, thanks for the notifications. I'm aware of these. I think I should put an edit notice declaring this since I edit these a lot, lol. Thanks and happy editing. The Herald (Benison) (talk) 03:18, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
Canis
Hello The Herald (Benison), regarding your ill-considered revert, now counter-reverted. Take a look at all 3 edits. First I shifted the timeline sequence between two paragraphs because 6m years occurs before 5m years in the geological sequence - why you reverted that remains unclear. Then I provided a citation that was requested. Then I created the sub-article and placed a link to it, so a citation was no longer needed, just like all of the other extinct species in that particular list - why you reverted a link to another article remains unclear. The edit summaries tell you what is happening, and the obtuse WP template you dropped on my Talk Page was not helpful. Any issues then you should feel free to take it for adjudication; we shall then see what other parties think about your reverts. 14.2.205.177 (talk) 06:35, 23 January 2024 (UTC)

- @Clovermoss: Hey, thanks a lot for the invitation. Yes, I'll be honoured to drop by and share my experiences gladly. A bit busy this weekend in real life, so next week, prolly? The Herald (Benison) (talk) 02:51, 25 January 2024 (UTC)

Regarding your help in Ram Mandir page
Hello friend,
Hope all is well with you. It would be nice if you can participate in the discussions on the talk page of Ram mandir to build concensus on certain edits made by me. They are being discussed and I would be more than happy if you can make any comments that help in improving the quality of the article. A cookie for you :) Have a great day ahead. Bsskchaitanya (talk) 09:17, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
Bsskchaitanya has given you a cookie! Cookies promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. You can spread the WikiLove by giving someone else a cookie, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend.
To spread the goodness of cookies, you can add {{subst:Cookie}} to someone's talk page with a friendly message, or eat this cookie on the giver's talk page with {{subst:munch}}!
- Hey, thanks for the cookie. To be honest, I am taking a small break from Ram Mandir discussions for the time being. I do drop by sometime but currently it's a clusterfuxk with too many NPOV comments and unnecessary tangents. Yes, it's on my watchlist and I'll drop by when I feel a consensus is developing. In the meantime, I'm devoting my time on other topics and RTRC. Don't worry, I will drop by soon. Thanks again for the cookie. The Herald (Benison) (talk) 09:22, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
Glad you collapsed that

- @Doug Weller: Hey, no problem. As for now, I have warned the first user per NOTAFORUM. Hopefully it might work. It's in Hindi, and nothing inappropriate or so. The Herald (Benison) (talk) 14:27, 28 January 2024 (UTC)

Cat Ferguson: Revision history
I added "A feat that was repeated in 2024 in a photo finish with eventual winners France." because I'd just watched it on the UCI live stream of the event and there was no reference available as the media are very slow to report mixed cycling events (even at the world championship level). 86.29.220.49 (talk) 23:02, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
