Article title

[edit]

Can it be changed to Indian Kenyans, rather than Indians in Kenya? As it is, it implies that the Kenya's Asians are not Kenyan, more like aliens in the country. Asian Kenyans are fully African, fully Kenyan, not Indian outsiders. Well, I'm going to change it; if you don't like it, revert me. Skirtsy My talkEdits 21:20, 15 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New article

[edit]

This was created from Indians in Kenya by me—see the talk page for why I chose to do so. If you don't like it, revert me. Skirtsy My talkEdits 21:27, 15 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Indian KenyanIndians in Kenya – or alternative new title Kenyan Indians. Revert undiscussed move and follow WP:NC(CN). Both proposed titles have dozens or hundreds of times more Google Books hits than the present one. See below for comparison of the merits of the two proposed forms. 61.18.190.15 (talk) 01:48, 16 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Go with Kenyan Indians? or just undo the whole thing. Was only a suggestion, feel free to undo it. Skirtsy My talkEdits 16:22, 16 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Since the issue came up I figure we might as well have a wider discussion and resolve it for once at for all. Not to mention I'm an IP and can't move articles myself :) 61.18.190.15 (talk) 00:07, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I can't do it either yet, as I am a new editor. I think I have to wait another day, then I can move it. Skirtsy My talkEdits 13:19, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

References

[edit]

I tried to follow through on the citations and footnote 28 is incorrect. The correct reference is Shiva Naipaul “North of south”, not V.S. Naipaul's book. Different authors! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.234.217.125 (talk) 08:01, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
