What does "close to the Digital Designer" mean? Would it be better to say "is developed from the Digital Designer" or "has used the Digital Designer to create sets"? I don't know if those things are true, so there has to be some sort of reference.Targetonmyback 07:17, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Design By ME vs. Exclusives

[edit]

Dear All, I believe there is a bit of confusion going on with sets belonging to the Exclusives range of products and the Design By ME. The listed products under the "List of Sets" heading are all Exclusives, and not Design By ME, which, by their very nature of being customised products, have no serial numbers. Unless there are contrary arguments, I will proceed with modifying this section accordingly. George Adam Horváth (talk) 20:08, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Discontinuation information added

[edit]

I have used this information as reference for the information. However, I have asked Lego Customer Care to clarify the continuation of LDD and Pick-a-Brick, which was via a separate e-mail communication. Any ideas if I should (and if yes, how) include that reference? George Adam Horváth (talk) 20:30, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Pricing section reads like a PR department wrote it

[edit]

The "Pricing" section reads like a PR department from LEGO Group wrote it to calm consumer sentiment on the high price. Why are these talking points listed in a list? Shouldn't this rather be condensed into a small number of sentences? Douira100 (talk) 20:53, 16 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A standalone page for Lego Digital Designer

[edit]

I think Lego Digital Designer need to have its own page as its older more relevant than Design byMe since its no more since 2012 but LDD is still/can be used yet its development is discontinued for now. Also more info regarding LDD can be added separate from Design byMe service. --Comrade-yutyo (talk) 10:07, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I feel as if Lego factory should also because this set is supposed to represent it along with design by me, Yet it makes barely any mention of factory other than saying it was an old name (which wasn't true). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.97.89.182 (talk) 10:19, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Comrade-yutyo you should go ahead and start a new page. Perhaps we should link to BrickLink Studio because the LEGO Group wants users to migrate from LDD to BLS.

4. What changes does the LEGO Group have in store for the platform?

BrickLink was acquired by the LEGO Group because it is interested in strengthening the connection with the AFOL community and finding new ways of doing this through improvements to existing functions on the platform.

The LEGO Group is keen to make sure that the platform develops in collaboration with the community – it has acknowledged that BrickLink already serves its users very well and is not planning to make changes straight away.

7. What about Studio and LEGO Digital Designer (LDD) – what will happen with the two digital building experiences since they’re quite similar? The LEGO Group is planning to support and evolve Studio and will review opportunities for both services following the closing of the deal.

I think, despite Lego's recent decision to redirect LDD page to BrickLink Studio, Lego Digital Designer should have its own page for historical matters. Comrade-yutyo (talk) 08:40, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
